Dev's should be fired Cause i am going to break down the nerfs

Ok so we know the nerfed firebolt and devouring blaze so lets just show what happens and they may fix the familar bug as well we get from unstable currents so lets assume they do. Fundament Release legendary node will be nerfed by 10 percent a lot of the time. We are losing almost 17,000 dmg from firebolt enchant plus the scaling from devouring blaze. We are losing 5% from elementalist. We could possibly be losing another 8% from the tal ring like a third of the time or half the time. We will then be losing power to flamefeeder add all this up and we are losing 33% of our dmg approximately. Replacement’s hmm use winter for frozen builds that isn’t much of a buff wow cold dmg lol. Eliminator is currently weaker then flamefeeder lol so fantastic. Also since we will have hardly any burning where are we getting boss dmg from Dev’s play the f ing class and learn the mechanics and understand how our power works before nerfing the most important things to every sorc builds. The moron’s should be fired.

I don’t agree with them being fired. Hyperbole isn’t the path i choose.

That being said, Firebolt was a tone def change, being that the sorc is an Elemental Synergy class.

This change is a stealth nerf to Tal Rasha.10-15% depending on the build.

As a Sorc One of the class fantasies is wielding the elements…and this is a direct smack in the face, but its a needed one going forward. The class needs as re-visit. IMO. Posted a breakdown as well.

Devouring blaze tho?..come on man.

I understand it needs a rework but It better be completely ready if it isn’t the change shouldn’t be made and I highly doubt it is.

Oh i agree. They have been pretty clear about class changes being incremental tho. Sweeping changes to a class are highly unlikely, but then again allot of the changes have been in the unlikely category recently.

The new Fireboltenchantment has just no use. For what do you need such a bad healing effect. We have the Warmth passive allready. And as a Sorc it is more like enough defence or one-shot.

Back to running Winterglass to spawn hydras I guess.

I will wait for the patch notes but remember familar has a bug with unstable currents that always creates fire if that gets fixed well where is our burning dmg just hydra for winterglass. Eliminator is a fix for flamefeeder but does less dmg although i am not quite 300 paragon level yet it does increase intelligence so I will have to test eventually but I have tested a few ways already with winterglass and the fall off is very dramatic so if the dev’s had confidence in these nerf’s I believe they should have spent a little more time showing us the buff’s that would fix the damage loss I apoligize for my hostility before but I don’t believe blizzard has a plan sorry.

Passives need to be functional for every type of build or skills need to have the ability to add new tags to them - this is why Spiritborn feels better cause you can make use of most passives almost no matter what your build is. Sorcerer is fun to play but rough to build because its currently pigeonholed into running conjurations/conjuration mastery.

I definitely agree things like chill only work with mobs same with stun a lot of our passives don’t help with bosses at all the only ones that did are getting nerfed so sorc will remain in a tough spot for a long time unless reverted til they get a complete plan in place for sorc. I hope it all works out for the ptr but i doubt it does cause they would have show more then just oh were nerfing devouring blaze and firebolt so its wait and see til then.

I believe the Sorceress was actually intended to be a elementally aligned class. The Wizard in D3 was a master of all elements, the sorc was supposed to be a master of one.

That doesn’t mean it should be, I like the idea of weaving the elements.

For the billionth time… Talrasha does NOT proc on damage any more. it has been based on a CAST since the beginning of S6 the Firebolt change has absolutely 0 impact on TalRasha because an enchant cannot proc it.

This is not to say the nerfs aren’t bad, but you should at least know what to be upset about :wink:

The BIG loss is devouring blaze, and the easy access to burning dmg from firebolt without using an active slot. Like OP says if they fix familiars we’ll either be limited to burning things close enough for flameshield or giving up an active slot to apply burn dmg

Edit: RE winterglass and hydra. I really hope this is not the way forward because i have tested it and the damage is garbage. I’m clearing 96 on my ball lightning / LS , when switching amulet to winterglass i cannot clear 90. if i switch ball lightning to frozen orb boss damage is a little better but trash clear is horrible. this is not the way

I don’t understand why every build is the same. I’m trying to play for fun, unstable currents feels like a waste because I suck at gear, and I have no clue how to collect more green gems. I’ve been stuck at 71k frags forever. And I need another big one crafted that costs 100k. struggling.

On another note i play eternal and everytime I join up with a spiritborn or just play period I never ever get a mythic drop maybe 1 out of 100 runs. The spiritborn gets 6 in the same amount of runs. Also this one player has found a quad everyday I have found 3 in the entire season lol. I play more then them and yes we are eternal players and have logged way more hours on my character but I don’t get it at all besides it blizzard and they like to screw the people who play the most.

I can make a build utilizing the healing, but losing the burn is too much. if anything it should burn AND heal.
