After the poorest performance in Season 6, devs decided to buff Cataclysm with runeworker + mjolnic ring + snapshot overpower(lightning bolts addictive damage does not correctly work on Cataclysm btw, hello devs team?). Good for Druid players, we finally do some decent damage.
They also buffed Laccerate, which is getting damage increased by critical damge.
So for MOST of Druid players, Cataclysm is around Pit 140 - 150. Laccerate is around Pit 110 - 120, THE REST OTHER BUILDS ARE AVERAGE BELOW PIT 110 WITH MAXIMUM EFFORT.
Guys in the other team somehow think that Druid is way too powerful. So they delete Cataclysm snapshot, nerf Xan and Qax. And they even put a cap on Laccerate(Season 7 is around 1400%x, now capped at 200%x). And without Xan, the most broken part(Overpower) is gone.
One team wants to buff Druid and One team wants to nerf it? Guys, wake up and talk to each other. You guys are tearing players experience apart
Under this situation, Druid will be really bad for even giving a try in Season 8, especially with increased difficulty of game
About new unique helm - totally piece of sh1t
human form Druid is really vulnerable without animal form damage reduction
Anima of the forest provides 2 useless ultimate passive(guess why no one pick them, genius)
I don’t mind the nerfs to the ultimate dmg but i was hoping at least to see some buffs to the Druid skills, especially the core skills. I also was hoping to see some buffs to werewolf form and other uniques/aspects.
That’s untrue the other day someone made a thread where they posted the results of all the things they tested as to what works and what’s still bugged and there are very few bugs left for minion necro it’s like 99% working as intended
Imho its the only skill in the game thats not functioning without its only leg power whoch should be on the skill itself.
In 2030 maybe it gets its second leg power which lets it summon twisters that also dont seek enemies and they die on walls , bubbles and twigs on the road.
expected as Druids and Necro was overpowered in S7.
The main change is not the damage cap but the limit to snapshot.
For me, snapshots should not even exists.
Unsure if that was the only thing giving Druid it’s day in the sun, haven’t played enough of it this season.
All classes should have a reasonable array of options in at least t4… imo also in the pit 100-120 range with outside that being outliers for attention.
Im on some stupid cap for bookmarking things I want to get some more details on and come back to looking at later, so just quoting these parts for now.
Hope Druid has some solid builds just like all the other classes in s8.
Problem is if ultimates aren’t fantastic damage, no one is going to invest in reducing their cooldown at the expense of better affixes and tempering. So not only do the ultimates become a weak skill, they become a weak skill that can only be used every 45-90 seconds or whatever. No one in their right mind is gong to waste a spot on their bar with that crap.
