Butcher late game needs to scale a lot harder. This is supposed to be a tough encounter but yet most endgame builds steam roll the butcher. He is extremely weak… I have encountered elites that survive better than the butcher and hit harder. This happened in D3 as well with the enemy that showed up randomly. Even in higher tier NM dungeons the guy is a joke. Along with that the world bosses are way too easy to kill, and all have the exact same move set what is going here is there not supposed to be anything difficult in the game other than uber Lilith and even then, you either get one shot by her or run a build that destroys her in seconds. The dungeon bosses, nm and regular are all very weak and die in seconds to end game builds. The difficulty in this game is very low. There needs to be more of a challenge to this game all around. Everything seems fine early game and then bam once you find a few items you just steam roll everything. Just a thought but it makes the end game more of a boring stare at the screen just grinding to 100. And yes I have a character at level 99 the last 30 to 50 levels have been just staring at the screen with nothing that is a real challenge. Just a thought… I like the game is a great addition to the diablo series.
They should probably pick a baseline damage first. If meta builds are getting nerfed to sh.it build level then he will be an impossible challenge
Whether or not the butcher is over/under performing late game needs to be taken into account using the telemetry of how many people are dying to vs killing him. It’s clear that Blizzard has this data and will need to use that information to tune the balancing rather than individual experiences accounted on the forums.
Ideally, the butcher should be even on his kill/death ratio. Just cause you and I are rolling him doesn’t mean the majority of the playerbase is too.
But in all honesty shouldn’t he be even slightly hard to challenge? He a supposed to be a special spawn that is meant to be a challenge, right? Or is he meant to just be a joke? Early on he can be a pain to deal with I would say between level 1-35 maybe after that he is just a waste of time and space it’s almost like he doesn’t scale at all just continues to reshield himself till he dies. In all honesty with the way he gets deleted I could care less if you let shamans revive him at this point.
He’s not so much a challenge than a pop-quiz on if your build is viable or needs tuning. If you’re performing above par, he should be a pushover.

At 80 my arc lash sorc killed him no problem.
At 85 my blizzard/ice shard build got rekt by him.
At 90, I still get rekt by him when solo, yet I can do T56 nmd’s with relative ease.
I dunno man. Today I used a sigil that put enemies 20 levels above me with armour pen conditions for a challenge. Naturally, i got the Butcher…
If that guy gets buffed, im not gonna do that anymore… 
But if you base everything in the game off that then veteran players will always just steam roll everything. This can’t be simply place on a ratio like that or all the content will fall very short on the scale. A lot of players die in massive amounts to world bosses and the butcher. While a small portion steam rolls the content. At some point you have to choose to have something that is very difficult for everyone including veteran players a lot of games have fail to do that.
That’s a good point, the butcher behaves a certain way so certain builds will perform better than others. They need more surprise elites like the butcher with different movesets with advantages and weaknesses.
Good players that make good choices should have good outcomes. Otherwise you’re just a trolling DM.

no I’m tanky I play storm claw just built a little different then others.
