so in Ohio we had/have power and internet outages over the weekend due to high winds, I’m not asking for another beta weekend for a chance for my daughter to gain the last 2 lvls needed for the wolf pup. That would be great but… so anyways once we got power back, still no internet, she spent $90 to turn her phone into a hotspot just to try and get the wolf pup, all was fine until 3:30 am she kept getting kicked with an account locked error after 20 mins of repeated attempts she gave up and called it a night. So the devs help for a father’s love, I earned my wolf pup from early access beta is there any way you could give her mine or let me gift it to her since she tried?
I feel your heartache for your daughter. I can only suggest you submit a ticket and see what they say. Best of luck to you.
Blizz please help these two out!
my heart cant take this.
Dang. I get it, but this will come off as rude…
She’s gotta learn, it’s life. Can’t always win or get what we want. Once that’s learned you become a better person. Half the problem with today’s society is just that. Getting everything.
I know she tried, and if this hadn’t happened, she would have gotten the pup, but unfortunately, such is life. It happens.
That sucks big time and it was completely out of your control. Blizzard. Just give his daughter the pet and title.
Honestly, it’s why I hate when Blizzard does promos like this. Heavily playing on people’s FOMO.
hell ya it would be very good publicity to give her the pup. i support this.
I will gladly give up my Backpack.
believe me, she knows you can’t always get what you want and that life sucks, she missed out on senior prom and graduation because of the covid lockdowns and countless other hardships. I’m not asking them to give her one, I’m asking them if she can have mine or if I can gift it to her. Just hate to see her put that money and effort into it for nothing.
It’ll be better if Bliz makes all the corrections it needed with the beta data, then announce another weekend beta, towards end of Apr.
I would send Blizzard a letter explaining things. If nothing else, can you not just trade accounts with her?
1 more weekend. 1 more weekend!
So, she is what, a 20/21 year old grow up?
She needs to accept disappointment and move on and not have daddy begging for Blizzard to give her the pup. She missed out, sucks, but that is life.
And how old are you? 12? Because I sure hope an adult wouldn’t feel the need to be so miserable.
You could swap accounts with her.
You do realize that diablo 4 is 17+ right? ![]()
Just give your account to her and then create new account and buy another copy for yourself. Or swap your daughter account with yours.
I’m sorry, but why do some people seem so butt-hurt over this?
This is just a father wanting to do something for his daughter. Why is it such a problem for some to just let him try?
Ofcourse Blizzard is in no way obligated to do anything about this, but what is the harm in asking?
Also even though this game has an age restriction, you can be assured plenty of players will actually be below that age restriction.
Those age recommendations are to help people who aren’t informed about the contents of the media decide what’s appropriate for their children. They’re not rules about who can do what. Pretty sure the guy posting on the diablo forum about how he played enough diablo to get the puppy but his daughter didn’t is informed enough about diablo to decide whether it’s appropriate for his daughter to play. That’s assuming he even has a say in what she plays - people’s children grow up, and they often remain in emotionally connected to them.
