@Devs for necro

Necro feels good but there is one thing missing, a term called Tele stomping. Blood warp traversal skill should be a warp and there should be an aspect to teleport minions with you. this is a method to control and focus minion AI. Necro would come full circle if you addressed this and made it a thing. I’m sure people have mentioned it in PTR and something the devs should listen to.

Or you know a button that would tell your minions where to go, or what to attack. At this point I’d settle for a glass of milk that attracts the skeletons over to an area.

Yeah, the skeletons need an active like in D3 that allows you to direct them to target. I get that between raising skeletons and activating the skeletal priest buff it can get a little convoluted, but there’s got to be a better way to control the minions than no control at all except for the golem’s active ability. They could probably just make it so if you cast while hovering over an enemy it attacks, but if you cast where no enemy is present, they just stay where they were.

As I see it, the whole idea of necromancers is, that they are, literally, summoning mindless, expendable minions to fight for them. They should behave like that. Too much control goes against the fantasy.
I’d be more open for a “Hunter/Ranger” class being able to send their pets at specific enemies. Also the druid.

And of course, the mindlessness of necro minions should be taken into account when balancing them. They should be more powerful than most skills, due to the lower reliability/accuracy.

As for teleport stomping, in any and all cases, god no.

God no! Imo necro minions should be strong but slow af! Otherwise it would defeat the whole purpose of having speed farming builds if you can telestomp everywhere…

Builds should have weaknesses, and for necro it’s minions being dumb and slow.

Tele stomping has been a thing since D2 and it works well when going through rooms aka nightmare dung. Even LE has druid, necro minion teleportation that they more or less took from PD2 lol

I’m okay with minions having a con with AI, their damage now realy makes up for it. What I would like is a shorter “leash” so they don’t fall behind too much. Or a movement speed buff.

It was a solution to a problem of that time. Also if necro could not have access to teleporting in D2, it would not had been a thing.
Also don’t act like telestomping is a thing in every arpg ever.

Well, in its current state dung crawling or trying to traverse rooms is to painful. I like summoner but trying to go through doors is just bad. You would change your mind if you played a tele stomp build, trust me. It makes summoners a lot more fun instead of just running behind your minions. Open door> run back behind minions>wait for the mobs to get cleared> open next door rinse and repeat … it sucks

Stop with the “fun” word everywhere to ask everything… There’s a class for telestomp > The sorcerer

Don’t like it, don’t use it. I like it, so i would like the option. Sorc is not a minion class buh bye!

That very much sound like the necro concept though.
I am all for having different options. And in general I think ALL classes should be able to have nearly all build concepts available to them (like, all classes should have summoner builds, all classes should have facetanking melee builds, and so on).
But those concepts should still feel different between the classes. A necro summoner should feel different from a Druid or Sorcerer summoner, etc.

That said, in general nothing should stomp anything, with or without teleports.
But being able to move things around with teleports, sure, sounds like a Sorc thing (and yeah, giving everyone teleport in D2 was laughable, each class should have had their own mobility skill, and teleport should have been massively nerfed).

Having necro with telestomp would defeat the new sorc build with tampering dmg on teleport so no.

They do, especially that Golem. He is a certified idiot.

Unless you are talking VERY deep pit, you should be doing enough damage that you can run past with +60% ms and everything is dead from minions, including elites. No telestomping required.

I know. Was just saying they are behaving as they should imo. Intelligent undeads (and golems) seems like a contradiction.

No, that is not how necromancers are in Diablo.

i agree with you. i dont see why i would ever do a sorc if my necromancer could telestomp lol.

Now that their dmg is adjusted, its absolutely fine.
