My game froze and closed during one of the cutscenes for this quest and now whenever I try to re-enter the Temple of The Primes, my game freezes and I have to manually close it. I saw a similar report on PC so it doesn’t appear to be console specific

Same thing is happening to me. Anytime i try to enter the temple or a town with a follower and do another action the game completely freezes.
This is happening to me too! Hopefully a fix soon as I keep seeing this issue from many players on Xbox and PS5.
I am having same issue on ps5 here too. Cannot progress main story quest
Managed to get past bug by changing world level to 2 and re trying quest
I also had this same bug. I managed to get past it by getting into party with one of my friends who has already completed the quest. Let him to enter the temple first and it solved the problem. Maybe try this.
And its still happening even with the update they did last night so obviously its not fixed. Come ON blizzard…this should have been fixed during beta. Tried going from veteran mode to easy mode and doesnt fix the issue.
So I figured it out. Back away from the entrance as much as possible then go in and it doesnt lock you out. I also started the quest line and ran a few side quests before coming back.

I am getting the same thing. Every time I try to enter the Temple, the game freezes. Will try the side quest completion/back away method, but seems kinda ridiculous that I need to do that.
Did a side quest, stepped away, still froze. Halp plz Blz.
I’m also getting the same problem! Tried many things, but nothing has solved. So disappointing…
