Am I missing something completely or is the Den Mother impossible to beat?
Tried at a lower level and now at level 14 and I just can’t get past her? I’m playing as rogue and I don’t have enough life potions and I can’t dodge as much is I need to to get out of the way of her attacks.
I purposely avoided her after about 30 minutes of trying… trying to do it with a group is the ideal solution.

She is a nightmare and I don’t have anyone else to team up with at the moment.
They need to make this game ok for solo players or they will just end up getting fed up.
I’m playing a lightning sorc and I beat her without dying at level 11 or 12. This class is very overtuned right now though, most of the mobs don’t even make it onto the screen before they’re dead.
Hmmmm maybe it’s a class issue then, hopefully it gets fixed.
I even went down a level in difficulty and strangely it was worse and now I’m left not bothering doing that quest anymore
Only boss that gave me trouble so far was BroodGuard. So many adds in the room that you need to get under control and kill quickly before she spawns the next set of adds. And if you haven’t dealt with the adds in time it will still spawn the next set regardless. Interesting fight on barbarian.
Don’t play melee rogue or barb. Swap to barrage with a bow. Easy kill in my rogue first try
I beat her with a rogue solo. I respect with an archer core and poison trap and poison imbue. super easy
Solo’d it on Sorc with Hydra. Just run around while the snakes do its job. Defeated it on Rogue and Barb when i hit 25 with legs and regen
I’ve beat it with both sorc and barb. Your skill choices probably lack synergy, and you need to put a bare minimum of effort into gear choice if you’re not on easy difficulty.
Or you’re just standing there getting hit instead of moving.

Pretty sure I beat her solo I had issues with the one girls mom while chasing Lilith
My first 20 was a Frost Mage, and I died to her 4 times. The 5th time, I did beat her, and I beat her handedly, but I had to play very defensively. (i.e., not even thinking about slinging another spell if I thought she’d be swiping at me soon, haha.)
The second time i beat her on a Pyromancer, and I beat her the first time. I REALLY enjoy Pyro. The burn is satisfying, and there is a Lucky Chance to immobilize them.
I can imagine that she would be harder on a rogue. She was definitely challenging! Haha. But I don’t think it’s fair to say she isn’t solo-able. I kinda like that we have to reconsider our tactics, reconsider our skills, reconsider our playstyles.
(Versus D3, where I felt like everything blew up from me looking at it. Or it was a game of attrition.)
Were you able to beat her? 
Yeah, me too. Chain lightning with the +30% buff when the lightning bounces off of you and down she went.
… then I tried her with a barb …
Yeah the rouge is a very different play style but I love it I always play as those types of characters if I can.
I haven’t tried yet as I’m just changing a few skills up to see how the play changes, I’ll keep you posted though!
It is very different to D3 but I’m loving it too, it’s as fun but you’re right you need to think about things a bit more.
LMAO! I beat her as a melee rogue. poison trap. flurry, dash and invigorating strike. Took maybe 2 minutes to kill her.
I beat her level 15 barb. Had to respec hard to damage mitigation to do it oh and i used an elixir.
After reading this I respected from frost orb to chain-lightning/teleport… can confirm that made the fight a LOT easier!!
She was pretty difficult for me as well… 2 person party, Barb and Sorc. We finally did get past her, but it was tough.
I mained Rouge in the beta and at first I didn’t like it but later on it can kill any boss in a fraction of the time as the other 2 classes. (From my experience). The rouge is easily the worst class at the start tho and it definitely doesn’t have the ad control of the mage, tho it isn’t too far off with the right build.
