Could some please define a more specific measurement for:
Shortly & Soon
Could you try using something like shorter or sooner than a month, or day, or hour.
Without a specific unit of measurement attached to the terms, it would appear that they are trying to be deceitful in what they expect us to think it means and play to that, rather than communicate what they intend it to mean.
Using an ambiguous time frame keeps them from being too committal in case there are further issues.
I suggest you focus on something other than specifics. They said it was to be released on the 8th. It will be released on the 8th. The 8th will be here for nearly 48 hours as the world turns.
So I guess this means we have one department in Bliz that thought it was to be released today at 4pm PDT, and another department in Bliz that thinks it’s on the 8th.
That must be the emergency maintenance. They are trying to get both departments on the same page, date & time of release, and decide which one to use.
edit:
must be a time zone thing.
Edit 2:
It appears that Shortly and Soon are longer than an hour.
I think it’s a time zone thing. Mine still says the 7th in the launcher news I mentioned. I would u/l it for you, but I can’t post links (or don’t know how) and am fairly confident it’s a timezone thing.
Eastern US here, too, and everything I’ve seen shows Oct 7th 4pm PDT, including the news article on the battle.net app from Sept 30 about Twitch stream drops.
