Decompose's damage feels a bit off?

I meant its basic damage, I have level8 decompose with description says it cause 50k damage per sec, the damage on the mob shows around 45~50k.
but corpse explosion damage looks better than decompose, when description says it cause around 200k in 6s.
I wonder if this a bug or decompose actually doesn’t count as DOT? since my gear are all with increase DOT.

It’s the primary skill that I like to use the most. I hope one day see more new items for this ability. My idea was that every 3 seconds shed plague and increasing the damage of enemies attraction. There is only one aspect around this ability. I would like to have more options …

I do like so much basic atacks (in special channeled one), but with necros just dont worth it, unfortunately.

I tryed do a experimental build (non meta) using decompose as my source of vulnerable, proc shadow passives tagged “darkness”, with the aspect that chain to 2 extra targets, but isnt very effective.

To lvl up is great, but i couldnt find a way to turn it reasonable high end.

Have you tried Paing Gorger’s? Pair it up Sacreligous and will auto explode CE.

My attempt was without the ring, but using the gloves (paingorger) with middle rolls, plus all extra basic skill aspects, and 50%x increase shadow damage from curses aspect.

Anyway, the damage wasnt that great for some reason, but i did not planned very well paragons, and gear wasnt upgraded.

Maybe i do another try with better stuffs.

I don’t know if Elemental Surge tempers or X’Fal’s could also help.

I have the same probleme 700%+ shadow dot… no dmg…
