Dear blizzard, if your basic stats on gear get so big that you need comma for better readability… you are still doing it wrong

Just saw the Harlequin crest unique

“ between 700 and 1,300 life”

blizzard lied about big numbers being a thing of the past

D4 isnt out yet and they are already at it with huge numbers

A single helmet providing almost as much Life as a whole D2 average endgame build had lol

And that’s a basic stat that will got through plenty of modifiers

Side note: while the comma is being mentionned can we please have an option to remove the ugly commas

1300 is a perfectly readable number…

Anything bellow tens of millions if perfectly readable without commas

An especially dumb move since most of the world uses comma as decimal notifier

How dare you use two commas in your reply. Hideous.

He does have a legitimate point here. Not all countries use a comma and a period the same way. US and England are in the minority. To most of the wortd, 1,000 would be the equivelant of 1.0

Fear the spoooky commas. People really will complain about anything.

Remember: OP is the same person losing his mind & insulting people every time someone says they don’t like his faction PvP idea.
I’m pretty sure he’s just a troll.

true, but do you really think some1 would read it like that?
Im from a country where it would be 1.0
Im actually liking the comma here. Ok they could also just use it like this:
1 000 instead of 1,000
Both make it better to read.

I really don’t get why people complain about this so much. Whether a comma is used or a decimal, which is more prevalent in Asian games, what does it matter? In the end it’s just a matter of cosmetics. Everything plays out the same.

The company is American based, and thus will naturally use American typography.
I’d expect companies in other countries to use their own natural way of writing things, and I would not be entitled enough to think I should demand a change to it.

Side note; Breaking 1K is not ‘lying about big numbers’. Just refund the game and stop whining, if you hate it that much.

Ah yea my secret Pvp faction system that isn’t even about Pvp, system which is stated to be basically dungeons but with a twist

And I’m the one you call troll when you spread misinformation in the sole goal to discredit me lol

Please tell us, from which ages did the commas bully you and can you verify how much of your lunch money they stole?

That’s by far the stupidest thing I’ve read.

just about as stupid as celsius

What, you want it to say 700-1.3k instead?

Ok I have to be honest. I kinda laughed at that one.

It’s funny how this topic is about numbers being massive again when they said they would

And almost every replies are not about this

What with these forums low brainwave energy?

70-130 would be ideal

But considering they are going with big numbers again… 700-1300

Plenty readable

Problem is you need to make it feel like your character is making decent power gains, if you set the numbers that low theres barely a difference between level 50 and 100. Stat squishes are awful. I avoid every wow expansion that does a fresh squish.

if you need gigantic numbers I suggest mobile games. they have numbers that fill the screen fulfilling your dopamine hits

Loool

You are clearly a D3 player aren’t you?

Used to overinflated numbers

Harlequin crest gave around 130life in D2 and it was the best all around helm in the game

“Duh need to be significant gain”

The significance of a gain isn’t the size of the number but rather how it compares to existing values
