- Some Thoughts and Suggestions for Blizzard to Liven Up and Improve Diablo IV *
Dear Blizzard Management and Community:
First off, I have been enjoying Season 8 so far, but there are some outstandling issues I would like to bring to your attention and decided to share some suggestions in the hopes you will consider and implement them in the game, (Diablo IV), instead of complaining about it.
(1st) First Suggestion:
I think the Blizzard D4 Team and Management should seriously consider allowing Seasonal-specific powers and story lines to roll over to the Eternal Realm after season game play ends. It would liven up the Eternal Realm and bring back a lot of players to ghost towns in the game.
This would attract a lot of players and give some much needed life to the limbo junkyard the Eternal Realm has become in addition to adding special or extra or bonus quests. Mixing things up would be great for Diablo IV versus how it is now. Blizzard can also add ongoing special events for both the Eternal Realm and Seasonal Realms that connect and benefit the player’s overall game experience and account wide reward system, especially if Players are willing to grind for it.
The Eternal Realm can be special, epic, fun and entertaining where players can also use it as a testing ground with different types of awesome builds and special powers combined. It can be the player’s Headquarters, if you may. Blizzard can add a Leaderboard for players to test their mighty strength and challenges for end game content and rewards in the Eternal Realm as well. If Blizzard has this implemented in Diablo IV after every season, it would be very cool and awesome to have in the game, and a lot more rewarding than the way the game is now. Leaderboards should be added to both the Eternal Realm and Seasonal Realm for Diablo IV with new, epic rewards, cosmetics etc… for all D4 players, and in Hardcore Mode as well.
(2nd) Second Suggetion and End Game Content - New Factions / Alliances:
Since PvP is dead and barely played or used in D4, it would be awesome if Blizzard amended the initial storyline and expanded the game to include Factions / Alliances - similar to WoW, whereas the player gets to choose whether to fight for Lilith or the Horadrim or remain Independent. This would also create a very cool PvP environment for end game content and for an extended storyline. You can also add new Mercenary Companions and finally a Paladin class in the process, too! Blizzard can also create cool cosmetics that we can add to our Mercenary companions versus the awful gear and outfits they wear in D4 by default… Eeek! This would be very cool indeed!
(3rd) Third Suggestion:
This is actually (4) four in one if you may
a) Mounts:
Please fix the clunky, slow, buggy Mount mechanics in Diablo IV, Blizzard Team, and make them more stable, faster and more steady when a player is using mounts to travel and explore the world in Sanctuary. Players should NOT be able to run faster than their own mounts in the game. It’s also rather ridiculous getting stuck and stopped often during travel by any little obstacle when traveling by mount.
b) Fog and Dust Weather Special Effects:
Please create a simple Toggle On and Off feature to disable the heavy Fog and Dust weather effects in the game, as it constantly and randomly hinders game play visuals. It is awful, and it is the only game I have ever seen with this ridiculous and unnecessary issue. Either create a toggle On or Off button for all D4 players, or remove this heavy fog and dust weather effect in the game until you can figure out a better option that doesn’t cause so much visual interference for players while playing D4. There is currently no option available to disable these awful and hindering fog and dust weather effects during game play in Diablo 4. Please provide an option to disable this weather effect or tone it down.
c) New Battle Pass for Diablo IV:
We all know this was the worst and most erroneous change that screwed over all loyal players in Diablo IV, and I strongly suggest for the Blizzard D4 Team and Management to bring back the original Battle Pass that gave more rewards and more Platinum versus the new Battle Pass that screwed us all out of 500 less Platinum, less game play time and less rewards overall. This was the worst and most shameful change Blizzard has made, and it should be reverted or modified to have the same if not more rewards and platinum as the previous Battle Pass when season 9 begins. I understand game companies need to receive support by customers such as myself and make money to continue making games, however, in this case there was no need to screw over loyal D4 players with such senseless greed, and give less rewards and game time for the same price. That is just wrong! I hope Blizzard does the right thing with the Battle Pass and soon! This is not acceptable and we all know better.
d) Continue Improving and Fixing Diablo IV:
Despite some of these outstanding issues, I’m keeping the faith that Blizzard will eventually do the right thing, sooner than later. Just keep improving and fixing outstanding bug issues in the game and making it better for all D4 players, Blizzard Team!
Side Note - Hardcore Mode - Ghost Town Game Play:
I been playing Hardcore mode in Season 8 for the past week and haven’t seen any D4 player whatsoever on the game server, and that is not good. I’m not sure what is going on but if I am the only one playing Hardcore mode in the new season again, then Blizzard should come up with some incentives to get players to play a more thrilling version of the game. * It is fun to play Hardcore mode for the simple reason that if you die, that’s it! Lol… It’s challenging and you gotta play more carefully, too! I love playing Hardcore mode, but it is rather unfortunate to be playing in a Blizzard D4 game server all by yourself. In a way, it’s pretty cool but having more players would be a lot cooler! As for Re-finding and activating Altars of Lilith again in Hardcore mode - not that I mind, it can be a bit much of a grind and turn off for players that prefer to focus on actual game play and progression and not repeating the initial game play itself simply because it’s Hardcore mode. This extra burden to players is not necessary. Also, add Leaderboards to Hardcore Mode - but don’t allow death penalty during leaderboard challenges, since this is simply to show top performers in the game for the season and in the Eternal Realm for Hardcore mode. Gotta show the Hardcore D4 players some love here, Blizzard!
Anyway, these suggestions alone can bring about a huge and beneficial boost to Diablo IV and Blizzard overall - if Blizzard takes these suggestions seriously and actually implements them for all D4 players it would be a big win-win for everyone!
Also, Blizzard Team, you don’t need “A.I.” to come up with great ideas for Diablo IV or any game. A.I. may be faster and helpful in many ways, but it doesn’t have the depth and creativity of the Human mind, heart and spirit… at least not yet lol. If you ever need any help with ideas and suggestions, I’m always happy to help freely, or simply ask the D4 community - there are many awesome and good suggestions by loyal D4 players to make the game more fun, rewarding and entertaining for everyone!.
Lastly, if Blizzard adds these cool things into the game and actually implements these suggestions into D4, and also improves and makes the changes I suggested, it would be very helpful to the Blizzard D4 Team and for their own game analytics! It would also be greatly appreciated by all D4 players who have paid and continue supporting the game. All is possible! You can do it, Blizzard D4 Team!
PS - I will be writing to Activision Blizzard Corporate to share these suggestions as well aside from this post and hope it gets considered. It would be awesome to see any of these things get implemented into Diablo IV.
These are my sincere suggestions for Diablo IV, and I hope Activision / Blizzard Management and Microsoft actually considers them to make D4 more fun, epic, entertaining and worth while for all D4 players for the long term! That’s all for now! Cheers! - JJ -
