DC with over 2k shards

Great game - Maybe if I can get back in to spend them I can get knocked off my horse 30 times to have the helltide expire!

Helltide is almost always up now… Why do shards even expire at the end of the helltide anymore?

Who saves 2K shards without spending them? I get 500+ and I’m looking for the closest chest to spend it on.

Is there even enough chests In helltide to spend that much (2k) on?

Explore some time management skills

Hmm let’s do some simple math, there’s usually 2 Living Steel Chests at 275 a pop right? So that’s 550 right there. Then you have mystery chests, I want to say there’s also 2 of those, so another 500. That’s 1050 total just between Living Steel and Mystery Chests.

This is on average mind you, I know one particular zone has 3 areas for 3 chests, which would just bump up the total to 1575.

Now the question becomes, how many other chests spawn around the map? We have:
Protection (Armor) - 75
Jewelry (Rings) - 75
Jewelry (Amulets) - 125
Weaponry (One-Handed) - 125
Weaponry (Two-Handed) - 150

Assuming there’s 2 of those per Helltide (1 per area), we come to 1.1K total. So grand total 2.7K Cinders per Helltide you can spend.

Taking it a step further with the one area that has 3 zones for Helltides, we’d come to 1.65K, grand total of 3225 cinders.

Mind you the numbers could be off a little, I’m not entirely certain there’s 1 of each chest in each area of course, just going off of assumptions.

There isn’t but yeah that’s nuts.

If there’s only a handful of each type of chest per area, the number just falls even more, leaving you well below the 2K+ needed. I’ll have to see exactly how many chests there are per area next time I do a helltide, now I’m kind of curious. The only ones I’m certain of are the Living Steel and the Mystery Chests.

Living Steel Chests → 275
Also you can switch to W1/W2 to spend 100 Cinder for chests to to gain xp for the Iron Wolfes…

Ah right 275, let me change the equations. I guess if you’re only farming Iron Wolves exp it would make sense to go down tiers to spend shards.

Farming in W1/W2 for Iron Wolfes XP gets you fast >1000 Cinder.
Or you farm the 2k in W1/W2 to spend them in W4 if your Char is not that tanky…

I was a new character and was fortunate enough to run into a few very nice players farming maiden. We sat and chatted for 30 minutes before the DC while Necro clearing

Eating brains makes getting 1k cinders pretty easy. I find myself with no chests and hundreds in hand waiting for chest spawns

Lost 500+ Cinder too today because of getting disconnected and to the (well known) “No License Found” Bug, trying to log in again…!

it’s a priority management issue

Ah ok, so you got distracted by the good times. We’ve all been there.
