data error
diablo IV detected corrupted data and was unable to automatically repair the damage. Go to the game options menu on battle.net and run the check and repair option.
i did it and the error repeated 3 times.
This error occurs when starting the game.

Does your error still occur after restarting your PC?
I’ve been having some hard drive related issues from the game as well.
Hard drive:
NVMe WD BLACK SN850 500GB (300GB free space)
Symptoms:
Client freezes and two blank “Data Error” pop-ups show.
Unable to access Diablo 4 folder on hard drive “Location is not available” until after restarting PC.
Attempts:
Ran Windows CHKDSK command, with no errors.
Ran “Scan and Repair” in Battle.net launcher.
Just had the same problem over the last 24 hours on my steam deck and it gave me a message disk error.
I un-installed and re-installed the game and got the code 87F6CEOB-2E58-4A3D-AF76-0094544FE698. Everything else on deck runs great.
