I know I’ve said this since this dungeon added to the game and it never be better. The 4 forum guardian angels always said “You must learn.”
Of cause I did, but other party members don’t. Every time they ran and screamed like dying mice in a trap.
I don’t want to be bossy. I don’t want to type something like this every time, “Oh, High Heaven! Please just pick this thingy up and put it in that machine, then stand on the bright spot, and get in the warp, and please stand next to the pillar to charge it up and please bounce spell back to the bossssss!”
I was tired of this endless nonsenses. I left this dungeon behind for eternity to save my sanity. But now a special cosmetics is in Dark Citadel. And yes, dying mice run around as always.
Sigh… At least dev please make each run guarantee drop at least 1 cosmetic so I can finish this fashion set soon. Or make it solo enable.

Besides cosmetic rewards, this place has nothing good. Loots are just same as Helltide, with dying party members screaming and running around.

Just abandon parties like that. 1 other player with a semi functional brain is more than enough to snowball the whole citadel.
If you’re unlucky just ask guildies.

I rarely play citadel, i go solo when i do
The weekly chest has a good chance of dropping Mythics on T4, but yeah after getting it there isn’t much reason to run it again until next week.
Never played it, don’t care to, don’t care what it is or what “rewards” you can earn. I can’t do it without a group, so I’m not ever going to do it.

I’ve only ever unlocked the outpost once. That’s the only part of it I’ve seen.

This is what they stuck to their guns about and doubled down on.
Obviously no one that made this decision has ever been in a PUG or two.
At least it wasn’t highly requested.
Dark Citadel hasn’t even crossed my mind again this season, I forget that it exists. Group only content can jog on.

Same. I have no desire to make a party to complete an inconsequential objective. The only time I make a party is to power level folk when I’m waiting for something to cool down (tree crap) or just don’t feel like doing anything else.

I also have not bothered with it.
Playing QP in Rivals and OW is the most interaction I want with a team. At least there I can carry without talking to them.

I like the citadel itself, mechanics, bosses, music, etc. it would be great if it was soloable. Sadly that will never happen. As other have suggested it’s better to run with guild mates or friends. I’ve run a few people through it myself. I just haven’t set foot in it since S6.

just get some new friend, its not too hard.
Friends are the people I play tabletop games with. Real people sitting at real tables & tossing real dice. Being able to look them in the eye while I’m taking them through the story never, ever gets old

You have to be willing to boot players who dont understand. Always be party lead, never join one. People want to do it, but you have to decide how much patience you have: do you want to teach them or do you expect them to not need coddling?
If its the first one, i tell people either jump in voice so i can walk them through or just pay attention to what i type in chat. If you do something like pick up a counterspell orb and proceed to never use it or pick up gateway shards and never deposit them, then i tell you what do with them. Still dont listen? Then you get booted.
Also, if you are strong enough, you can do all of DC just by yourself and with 1 other; you dont need 4 people. 4 is nice, but doable with 2 (assuming you have the dps).
