So this is really bad and dumb if true…
On the campfire they stated that if you have 4 players in the group and any of the people leave that the monsters are still scaled for 4 people!!!
So, unless they misspoke… you can just got ahead and remove group finder because NO ONE will want to random with people who got carries to T4 just to leach off people and quit half way through when the mechanics get tough.

A streamer talking through the changes said the the DC is scaled for 4 people no matter even if you start with only 2 players!!! This has to be wrong. There is no way Blizzard devs are this stupid. WHY would anyone make a system to force you to group THEN Forced you to find 4 people? Then not tell difficulty is for 4 players…and let you play play with 2 or 3?

Yes. They said the citadel is tuned for groups of 4. I’m still planning to do it with 2. I don’t think it’ll be a big deal.
I’m looking forward to raiding, to get me out of my shell a little bit.

Yes, a thing that irks me is how heavy handed the devs are with how they feel you are supposed to play the game. Instead of incentivising group play by making it more worthwhile to group up, they chose to make the content impossible to solo. Which is odd, the Diablo franchise was one of the first to scale content dynamically. Like better loot/split xp among players participating, the content and rewards should scale accordingly. I don’t understand why the scaling would not calculate by number of players upon loading up as part of the loading process.
They are similarly heavy handed by massively nerfing popular classes to buff the classes the devs want you to be using, like how rogues have never been nerfed significantly the past year and sorc gets massively buffed recently now they make more use of the dodge me.hanic, actually, both classes are built to force you to use the newish dodge mechanic, while barbarian gets massively nerfed to discourage players from choosing that class over one of their favored classes for whatever reason.
That’s not balance its trying to control how we play the game with a heavy hand, you HAVE to play the way the devs want you to or be penalized. Same sentiment with forcing group play by scaling the content to force groups at the detriment of solo play. I guess its normal for MMOs but this is jarring for arpg`s.

I don’t think it’s normal for any game developer to force their customers to group. I have played solo many years over multiple games. I remember being incentivized to group, but not forced. It is a draconian top down attitude that we saw clearly during covid. They will force you to group whether you want to or not or else you will be denied the ability to enjoy content that you paid for. This is NOT ok.

Especially when group finder doesn’t even find a group, I’ve tried several times and have not been able to even start.
