Dancing Kives, two parter

Hi folk!

I could use a little help with two questions I have regarding Dance of Knives.

  1. Is the explotion from poison trap affected by “Damage over time”? Why would I use crit dmg or Vulnerable damg over DMG over time?

  2. “Writhing Band of Trickery”….. Why is this not used? It gives quite a chunk of damage to cc’d mobs and has “Trap Damage”.

I’m a stickler for this build atm, and have been getting mixed numbers from this combo. Unfortunately, I am at the point where I can’t tell the difference between swapping out 2 pieces of gear as mentioned above…

Direct Damage with Bursting Venom and Contamination does more damage than the damage over time. That is why you concentrate on direct damage, as it is a bigger bang for the buck.

If you don’t have a Ring of Starless Skies, you can try Band of Trickery, but I would rather have a good aspect instead like Clandestine or Noxious Ice.
