So it seems that the cap for this and Bloodfeeder is basically 300%.
So what happens to the amount above 300%? It is basically additive damage at that point?
And for a WW+Dust Devil build, what would be best to put it on after the intial 300%? Damage to close? Crit Damage? Flat Damage?
I was at 567% so re-tempered a few items to get it down to just above 300. Unfortunately due to not wanting to brick the items I stopped at + Damage on a few and am wondering how much I am hurting myself not going to the damage to close or crit damage? My current crit chance is 65%.
I mean it’s all additive, the paragon mode just converts a portion of it as multiplicative which has a cap but you still keep all the additive. Depending on your build it is usually better to build elsewhere when you’ve hit the cap. Crit dmg of course makes sense when using grandfather for example.
Generally crit dmg for WW where invested into Heavy Handed passive on amulet.
The reason why additive values are so different also has to do with their inherent multiplicative modifiers, additional multiplicative modifiers, and how often they apply.
I find it very odd that Overpower is technically the hardest of the buckets to reliably proc, yet the multiplicative bonus (before Fortify/Health) is at most the same as a Critical Strike. Just with Red Ring and Lucions, 100% of your attacks modified by RR will Critically Strike. Locran’s gives you 50% Crit Chance not even counting natural Dexterity investments. A single GA Masterworked Crit Chance Affix can get you to that point almost.
Further, I think it is a shame that Bosses do not have the Condtional CC applied to them (not the actual CC). This would open up quite a few different buckets.
For DD specifically, once you hit 300 DwB, if you aren’t using GW or Grandfather, Vulnerable should be the best additive. If you are using Yen’s with War Cry you can take Damage While War Cry is active which should be 100%, just can’t really take other Shouts.
For Bloodfeeder specifically any amount above 300% does not do anything. That multiplier is capped.
However,… for Berserking in general is that Berserk will always give you 25x damage and there is no cap there. It’s never wasted to have Berserk above 300% per say (you always get that 25x) but one could argue that there are other things to invest in that gives you more damage besides just plain Berserk.

One could argue an would be right to. Additive buckets tend to get lumped together. If you have Bloodrage capped with 300 DWB, Vulnerable Damage or DWB are doing the exact same thing for you past that point assuming you are Berserking and enemies are Vulnerable which should be almost 100% of the time.
You mean Blood Rage? Bloodfeeder is a glyph.
Ah yes! I was thinking about Blood Rage

Thanks for the replies guys.
Guess we will see what next season gives us.
For now I am at about 375% DWB and the rest is Dam to close and just straight damage buckets. I would fix the straight damage buckets but do not want to brick my items.
Can comfortably farm tier 6 IH for money and tier 7 for mats so good to go for now.
