Damage vs distant enemies 72-95%

if the sorceror is very far away from the enemy, but the fire hydra is in melee range of the enemy; will the damage vs distant enemies 72-95% still works?

I think the distance is measured based on your character not Hydra. Like the suppressor elite, Hydra do no damage even you spawn it inside the suppressor circle. You have to stand inside the circle to damage the suppressor.

thank you. waiting to test if the frozen orb can go longer distances when the patch comes out.
