Damage Reduction and Uber Lilith

I did some testing on Uber Lilith to see what type of damage reduction one should stack against those waves.

So far, it seems like the only things that help against the wave dmg is:

  • Armor, which caps at 80% even if it shows more in tooltip.
I did not see any benefit in surviving waves when going higher than that (somewhere close to 9k armor)

  • Fortified, to be expected

-All Dmg Red, which is hard to come by with low rolls in general. The Might Aspect and Skills are decent sources for this, on gear it seems too low to matter, althouth it might push one over the threshold to survive one wave

  • +life obviously

But, now the part that to me seems really stupid IF intended this way:

  • Close and/or Distant, neither seems to have any impact. Those are Lilith’s attacks, she should either be categorized as close or distant when she casts …

  • vs Bleeding/Burning/whatever dmg reduction against any state, useless, because she becomes immune to all when the casts the waves

Anyone else noticed/tested/knows what kind of defences help against Lilith?

Armor caps at 85%, we don’t know if the uncapped or the capped value contributes into non-physical damafe.

This doesn’t make sense. And is a big thing, either of those should apply for any attack depending on the location of the source of the attack, vs where you are located. This would be a big bug in defenses.

The damage reduction in every way in this game is totally scuffed, likely has many of the same issues that resistances have but its harder to tell because they did something weird with ‘armor’

I went up to a base value of 9630 Armor, which in the tooltip shows me 90% DR. I did not see any benefit in comparison to 9036 Armor which is shown as 82%.

I will give it a try with full disobedience stack and see how that goes.

I did not even realise you could actually survive one of those spike attacks

Supposedly, the Dr from armor caps at 85%, but the reason people continue to stack beyond that is because you get a 50% armor debuff per ten levels the enemy is above you.

It looks like that probably just doesn’t matter against Lilith, though.

Uber Lilith is about execution, not soaking damage.

Disobedience stacks are not helping, since the moment Lilith jumps to cast the waves, she is immune, so the bleeds do not refresh disobedience, and by the time the waves hit you, the stacks are gone, maybe if you are lucky 10 remain.

Have you tried using Temerity pants? The healing and globes and Barrier seem like a good solution?

I tried.
Facetanking Lillith is easy with it. But the spikes still oneshotted me.
~7k Armor / 13k health + 8k barrier

I have to correct myself, the armor helps. I probably messed up in my test before and did not trigger Might before the wave hit me.

With Might active, lvl 9 Challenging Shout, 21k Life, 9630 Armor, no Fortify I can survive 1 hit between 25-45% life left.

Damn, nice research right there.

Sure… well that’s a mechanic yes? Can be avoided? If not avoidable then it must be soaked and then must have a stat that will help with the soaks.

Correct.
Seems like Page just mentions, you can actually survive one hit of em ^^

So if that’s the case start getting together some more armors that help you recover faster and soak better. I’m thinking a fortified set with better max life and maybe healing?

Wish we knew how all reduction mechanics worked, and could calculate the raw dmg of the spikes.
In that way we could reverse it, and see what stats are needed. But alas.

What elixirs are you using with the fight and what incense?

Healing and fortify together are difficult, since you need to have fortify replenishement as high as health replenishement.

But yeah, stacked with fortify, full amor and high health pool, one wave should not be a problem, maybe even two waves before you build up fortify again.

Only running more crit/crit dmg
I did manage to learn pattern of the spikes. You can even evade through them.

Always 2 in the middle/front of you, and one on each side from, if you know what I mean.

I’d imagine her attacks are baked in shadow and flame… A fortitude potion and the incense that boosts that resistance might be a good combo?
