Damage console vs PC - is our DMG way lower than pc players? Spiritborn OP build test

I play Xbox X.

This is something I’ve been thinking for a long time, but it seems more clear now than ever. Sometimes following some online build guides, yt videos, etc, and i always found some YouTubers hitting 5, 10x times more than me, even with the same or worse gear, same paragons and skills. Never understood.

So this season I saw a few guys online hitting for hundreds of TRILLIONS (300t, even 600t) dmg and today I tried to respec and follow one of their builds (paragon etc.) to give a try.
Doing tests (pits, training grounds etc…) i found that my biggest number atm was 981 billion. Haven’t seen a trillion yet.

Since the beginning of the season I’ve been farming and selling to improve my gear and I have already some op stuff (4ga banished, 4 ga midnight sun, 3ga ring, 2 ga shroud of false death, 4 ga ebewaka - or 2ga legendary helm for the variation). The only thing missing is my kepeleke atm 1ga/3% and better gloves (1ga atm).

My gear is atm very close to what i saw some of them using (rob for example), and in some slots might be even better. I have lvl 100 glyphs, and currently 257 paragon, 20k+ life. Have most of my gear mw 12/12 (have 20 resolve stacks atm, need to mw better I know, not perfect aspects, close), but STILL:

How the hell are they hitting 600x, 700x harder???
I mean even with full 4GA perfect gear and fully perfectly mworked, I believe my dmg could improve 2x, 3x, or 5x maximum. But never in the world 600x or 1000x.
If I was hitting 10%, 20, or even 50% less, I would believe improvements could be possible, but 981bi vs 600T is like less than 0,2% of the dmg they are doing.
It seems like an impossible gap to cover unless there is some kind of bug exploit.

SO, I was wondering

What could I possibly being doing wrong?
Do they have special higher dmg servers or something, or is the damage on console way lower than pc for some weird reason?
Are they exploiting some kind of bug or buff that I’m just no aware of?

Is it a console issue?

Who else have or had the same experience?

I’ve noticed that 2, more bugs on ps5 than pc

In the past there have been a couple of bugs like HoTA and Leap that could only be abused on PC not controller but it was fixed rather quickly.

Spiritborn is rather complicated when it comes abusing its exploits. Number of resolve stacks and a 10% vs 15% roll on Interdiction aspect for example. Max HP and barrier percentage to abuse Viscous shield. Then amount of vigor to abuse Kepeleke.

TLDR is what we see on YouTube is very unrealistic, getting perfect gear and triple crit masterworks is pretty much impossible for normal players.

It’s EVERYTHING i could do to tap 1 mill on a pen archer build that I used at the start of D4, yet guys who posted vids/guides on said build could hit 5 mill +…

IMO, console has nerfs PC users don’t have…

Sounds like your build was built wrong.

Except most who are following a build are doing so identically for skills/paragon, with the only variance coming from equipment and the ranges there.

I’ve been experiencing a lot of gear issues where aspects wouldn’t take effect, or hit bonuses wouldn’t proc. Or Unique abilities wouldn’t work. Even with runes, I’ve seen it proc on the icon identifier but I wouldn’t see the effects on screen.

With controller, make sure you have you have the two target lock options on and enable target locking. This build, if you miss targets, the regen does not trigger and you don’t get the overpowered crits.
