Neither Poe2 or Diablo 4 is our game, it’s the companies game, and a good question that has been asked in a 20 minutes camp fire of PoE2 was “when should the developers cave to what the players want”, questions that will never be answered in d4 mainly because campfires are a staged joke and Blizzard think they do things perfect from the start.
People nowadays confuse good games to being entitled in a game. This is why they are impartial when giving a feed back and always give feedback based on preferences.
Reading reddit posts, watching youtube videos will always form opinions and my suggestion would be to only cater to your opinion because you are paying, you are playing you have the right to be mad/sad/happy about your choices.
In my personal opinion diablo 4 is just bad, because considering every factor from marketing, how many billions they did, and so on the game is in an unfinished state even now. Diablo 4 has 0 end game, has 0 replayability outside of doing another class, has 0 in depth building outside of fotm depending on what class get’s the buff and which doesn’t. The only thing diablo 4 has is a good marketing, and hopes it will be better with time. Which is not enough when paying for a AAA game.
On the other hand Poe2 in EA has some end game, some building ( right now it’s scarce because of no updates to the core game), has problems with core design, and so on so fort…But it is not BAD, and EA was an option to be bought to be played, the game will be FREE, so you can actually watch the content for free…Compared with Blizzard were you pay pre-purchase with early access to play it before anyone else…Which is a total waste because it soon goes into a price cutoff.
In order to compare games based on the same genre, one needs to be objective, you don’t need to put feelings into the fact that your class doesn’t perform well but instead need to evaluate every other option. Every post on the forums I saw is “d4 is better Poe2 is bad because…” and then a list of rants that a person personally things is bad about Poe2 and he finds better in D4…The same people that forget that Blizzard is a billion dollars company while GGG is a small company, they just look at more shinies on the floor and if GGG doesn’t give more shinies on the floor then GGG is bad…
D4 is bad because is an unfinished game that still after 1.something years and an expansion, still cannot finish what should have been granted at release, and PoE2 is bad because is in EA and currently GGG like blizzard caters to cry babies instead of just focusing on making it better…Instead of pushing content to be tested in EA they fix interaction between some sort of unique and another sort of skill, which should be the last of their problems.
Comparing the two companies, Blizzard right now is a dog sh1t company, while GGG struggles to achieve the title that Blizzard once held…And they will, while Blizzard will slowly fade into marketing techniques and become a koreean gatcha company
