This started happening yesterday. My Season char is a Spiritborn, level 60, paragon 60. I am located in Virginia, so I play on whatever server is for the mid-Atlantic USA.
The problem is that when I see an NPC with a blue exclamation mark indicating that they have a quest for me, when I click on them the dialog box opens. When I click on the sentence that typically initiates them giving me the quest, nothing happens. They do not respond. So far I’ve seen this with the Knight Penitent in Kyovashad (Tenets of Depravity: Light Be With You, in Marowen with Fergus (A Briny Fate), and Aidigh (Stemming the Tide.)
This problem persists in spite of me exiting the game, closing Battlenet, and shutting down and restarting my machine.
Edited to add: This just started happening Friday evening (May 23) to my seasonal character. It is only happening with my seasonal character. It is not happening with any of my Eternal characters. Is there a resolution for this? Do I uninstall and reinstall the game? Do I wait for Blizzard to fix this? Is it happening to anyone else? Should I just go play Baldur’s Gate 3 while I wait for this to get fixed?
Edited (again) to add: I have run Scan and Repair, and it came back that there were no corrupt files. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. The problem still persists on my Season 8 character. Baldur’s Gate 3 is running fine.
