D4 Reality for Mythic

Simple math based on what can be found on the forums regarding the number of runs to get a mythic to drop. Currently it is stated 100 to 200 runs per mythic. Let me average 150 runs for simplicity.

Zir = 150 x 12 = 1800 exquisite blood
Beast in the Ice = 150 x 12 = 1800 distilled fear
Varshan = 150 x 12 = 1800 malignant hearts
Gregorie = 150 x 12 = 1800 steel

Now Duriel takes 3 shards, from Gregorie and Varshan you would have 300 shards and max is 100 runs.

Now imagine you need a specific GA such as CDR, how many runs to get just that one piece. Rinse and repeat for any other specific GA mythic you need.

Wonder why everyone trades? Wonder why I complain? Because I don’t trade and refuse to. I paid for a game to play a game and I do reasonably expect to accomplish in this game what developers say is able to be done without starting at age 10 and making it by age 90.

Now throw in crit on the GA, how many times to hit 3, how many obductile, other mats and $5 mil coin will you need.

Now I will take flack for this take; so go a head… But it is the reality of the difference we see in these forums. Those who trade for mats to farm bosses, specific top notch aspects, etc. and those who prefer to play the game and find these things on their own.

Fix the game already…

Its RNG. Ive always gotten my first mythic drop within the first 10 boss runs a season. Will there be a time this might change? Sure but its whatever.

The ppl on the forum tend to overexaggerate though. Ppl who claim they did 200 runs, in reality did maybe 10 or none runs.

I don’t do boss farming anymore. I just go when there is a whisper attached. I will stay for a few runs if i am looking for a unique; otherwise Mythics are over rated. Most builds don’t need them. My hydra sorc doesn’t need a mythic. My bloodwave necro doesn’t need a mythic, my minion build necro doesn’t need a mythic. Could they benefit from a mythic such as Starless skies or The Grandfather, sure could but i make sure i can have a build without it.

Have 2 mythics that dropped. Melted Heart (garbage) from the purveyor (was looking for an amulet) and Andarials Visage from baby Belial…not making a character around that one but its tempting.

I did it in 70, that was under also the average. Was it “useful”; did it have the GA I need?

General mythic drop is not meeting the specification for a builds bis mythic GA.

Well they are good. However they suppose to be rare. They much easier to get than lets say ber/jah in d2. The issue is that some ppl. Mainly casuals want to be stacked with mythics while the idea was that they were gonna be a endgame item chase for dedicated ppl.

So I ask, what makes you come to this conclusion? Casuals is not a dirty word, they can’t play as much as others and this doesn’t mean because they can’t that they shouldn’t get them.

Challenge to anyone saying it is “so easy”… Video your build, every step of the way to pit 76; no purchases from any trade site and no traded items… I’ll be waiting for proof it is “so easy”…

It IS easy to get mythics. The only challenge is tolerance for tedious chores.

  1. Get a bunch of boss materials while leveling up and starting your end game build from: whispers, elites, seasonal caches, journey caches, etc
  2. Spend all those materials on the highest torment you can handle and probably come out with 1-3 mythics
  3. Got unlucky and didn’t get mythics? Or didn’t get any mythic that fits your build? Run undercity for more boss materials.
  4. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Casuals are the ones who want things easier to suit their amount of time put into the game.

Never said that.

Mythics are for dedicated players. A endgame goal. Its intended to be rare. So rare that you might only see 1 mythic during the whole season. Now the dedicated players set their mind to go beyond that and put effort into it.

Got 2 and wasnt hunting for them. A melted heart (junk) and a Andarials visage (might make a character around that one if i got time)

Yeah and the season is far from over. Obv i wasnt counting the guaranteed one from sparks.
