So what are advocating for? Solo should get 4x more loot? Groups get 4x less loot?
Why do these two play styles need absolute loot and difficulty parity? If you play solo knowing group play is more efficient that’s your choice. You are the captain of your own ship, make your choice and be at peace with it.
So many people think that fairness means they get the same as everyone else no matter what choices they make. What a sad commentary on the state of our culture.
TLDR: You have is a strong case of entitlement.

I have never traded in this game and always played solo unless it was legion or WB. I could care less what other players are doing or how they advance. Im the same way when I play WOW and that is an MMO. A true soloer plays the game without worrying about other players.
This wouldn’t be a big problem if there was a group finder or lfg chat. The issue is this game is missing features from 2004.
How do I find a group for Diablo4? Diablo 3 and Immortal have match making and Communites chat feature.
Simply saying that every player that get loot from Ubers should pay the cost of mats no matter how many ppl are in the party, as if you dont do it you are just hindering yourself as there is no added diffulty or anything you simply get 4 times more loot for no reason. And that death should count as death on Infernal Horde regardless if anyone can ress you or not as this will lead to boosting ( ppl already spamming RMT boost for Hordes) and since you can either get free mats or like 100 mil gold each run it will lead to hyperinflation and crush any chance of okay economy. How is it entitled opinion that if bring 3 more buddies you shouldnt get 4 times more loot?

multi player games always are better in a group.
Keep in mind if you are in a group doing a nm dungeon or a tormented boss/pit, each person in your group adds 100% more to the mobs life.
However if you want to clear all the dungeons fast (if you are just starting diablo 4 and need reknown fully unlocked) the most time effient way is to get 3 others in a party - set the game to wt1 - assign 1 person to each region and hit all the dungeons at the same time (1 person in each dungeon) - boom you clearned all the dungeons in the game full reknown for all 4 of you in under an hour.
doing that as a single player you are looking to spend about 2 to 3 hours.
you arent punished, the players who are social and want to make friends are rewarded. the game rewards you for not being a basement dwelling anti-social person.
They want to force players into groups, and coop dungeons so you can see their sweet skins and spend some of that $ in their shop, this game was literally made to squeeze pennies out of everyone. Buy AAA game, buy full priced expansion when the game is still in beta and they are still overhauling all items and buggy as hell, and buy skins at the shop! Just a corporate game made to siphon money.

D4 punish solo play and Blizzard arent even intrested in implementing some kind of group finder and are forcing us to rely on 3rd party software in order to find people to play with. Its the same with Last Epoch.
Modern arpgs are supposed to be multiplayer games, yet noone cares to make it easier for solo players to find a group.

Well lets start with D2 the more people in the game the more loot and xp for every person in the group. Maybe you didnt play online.
D4 does not have more drops just better efficiencies playing in a group.
But loot was shared in d2, and doing things like ubers would only drop one torch for the whole party, if anything diablo 2 punished you for playing in groups (which definitely has its own flaws aswell). That is why you see all the top players in ladder buy loaders so they can load in alt accounts to run all the content solo.
Also you only got more xp if you killing alone, in a p8 game, if all 8 players were killing in the same area the xp was shared, and higher level characters actually siphoned more of it, meaning you could actually get less xp for playing in groups.
Solo play in d2 (with 7 other players killing things in different areas or alt loader accounts) is what was rewarded in d2, again it definitely has its flaws, but your are completely wrong with your assesment.
In D4 they do punish solo players big time, and if you do not group up for things like duriel runs than only cost 1 persons matts, you definitely are MUCH worse off… in a game without a party finder, forcing you to discord to even do it properly.

Yep, and when it results in players gearing up faster than the devs want they will lower drop rates and/or raise costs making it even worse for solo players.

Found out about this today myself. Solo, these are just garbage festivals.
I generally run pits (on my current character) 80-85 and they of course drop Neathiron.
They also drop tier 6 compasses…which only supply Ingolith.

Yeah lets be correct. Bosses for exaple don´t have better droprates for party. They are “just about” 396% better efficiencies, and that leads to almost 396% more drops.
Really man, I would not mind if you would defend current system. But for the love of god, why you trying do that with false statements and lies. Maybe bcs any valid arguments missing…?
For everyone saying “you are not forced to do bosses in a group”.
It’s not even about that, its the psychology of it. Everyone knows you can go and do Tormented bosses solo, its not a problem.
The problem lies in that you know that you are wasting your time, playing unoptimally, getting geared slower and all of those things. Now, if you dont care about those things then good for you and i envy you. But i care about those things.
D4 is as much a multiplayer as a single player game. At least for now, everything you do as a group you can do playing solo. The game is unfair to solo players. That’s a fact. Sure, all solo players can join a group but the fact remains. If group play is what Blizzard wants, they should at least provides in game tools to organize party play for all.
I agree with you. Solo players are worse against group players BUT only if you wanna compete against group players. I think you should be comparing against solo players if you wanna gauge where you are.
But I get what you mean. I’m a solo player. I find pride being able to do things solo and there are frustrations. I could go group and join some whatever top guild out there. Been there. I had been competitive.
I hated the drama, so I prefer solo now.

So you were playing SOLO in a game with 7 other players playing SOLO, you were not rewarded for grouping up at all, you were actually punished for it in d2.
And if you wanted to do ubers you only got ONE item, meaning all 4-8 players would need uber mats for everyone to get a torch.
You literally picked a game that is the complete opposite of how this game rewards group play, yet are still somehow trying to defend it. bizarre.
