They already have a bear form, why would they add an owlbear form? There al isn’t any owlbears in Diablo so it doesn’t fit at all as a new form.

Gameplay
Beak Attack is a trigger that can be supported by items.
Ex: Your Beak attack slows the enemies
Ex: Your Beak triggers a lightning strike
Multi Attack is a trigger that can be supported by items.
Ex: When you multi attack, effect X happens.
Multi Attack brings multi hit, which can support Lucky Hit builds.
Fantasy
Bear is fun, but monstruosities bring exotism.
Only Bear or Werewolf is a little bit too binary for me.
Druid can shapeshift and this is one of the most interesting gameplay mechanics, possibilities are endless.
You mentioned other monstrous beings - try working on them instead.
Maybe try something not related to a bear and has some relation to Diablo.
You can play one in WoW if you want.

How about a canarybear? A little canary head on a big bear body. Or, better yet, a big bear head on a little canary’s body. Frightening to think about a bear’s head flying at you.
