After midway through season 6 and after a week of the season 7 PTR, its all the same and after a few hundred hours or less, it’s super repetitive and very little to no progress. Yet, the developers rejoice when a few people brag on reddit for getting a decent piece of gear with a few greater affixes, like this makes the game better or fun. Feel free to take this with a grain-of-salt.
Thank you for your insight.
I’m an Avid White Knight for D 4 but even I haven’t played Season 7 AND the PTR that much. LOL !!
After a few hundred hours everything becomes a little boring
Seems to be pretty much what you created a post about 28 days ago but with less actual feedback etc.

For the record, I don’t disagree with all your thoughts although I actually liked nightmare dungeons this season, kinda.
stuff becomes repetitive after a few hundred hours? no way. what happened to the game industry is all thats left to ask there.
This happen to many games after you play the same content thousand times. The dev can’t give you much new content with the limited budget they receive from MTX.
There is reason why the top 3 most popular game in Steam is PVP. You get different content every time you play, either you or the opponents are the content
all games by their nature are repetitive with only slight variations made by the players.
Would seem you have hit your breaking point. Hopefully you enjoyed your time, good luck in your next game.
How many of you who are unhappy play solo? I’ve played in a group since the launch of D3 and I’m at Paragon 300. I’m all self-found and I can sometimes clear Pit 140 although I still need a great weapon (mine is OK but not great). I still have fun playing with my brother who is in slightly better shape than me, and our friends who are still leveling up.
Playing in a group, helping other people, and pushing higher and higher as a group might be something that many of you are missing playing solo. It’s like working out just by yourself vs working out with a workout partner. It’s a lot less boring…
I wish I could break the monotony of Season 6 and play an Eternal Char that I miss, but Blizzard gutted that option too.
Very Lazy Dev Team. I am at the point of finding a new game. There are enough die hards that love the new direction, I am simply not one of them. Knowing S6 will get gutted in Eternal is annoying. One month, start from scratch, when I am level 276 and half my Aspects are under 75%. Really stupid designing.
Gutted how exactly? Only the seasonal gimmick and opal elixirs are going away. I’m confused by this statement. Any item changes will be retroactive, they won’t be turned into legacy items.
This isn’t meant to change your mind or anything, I’m just curious what you mean is all.
Imagine a game being boring after… hundreds of hours
For me it was fun from January 2024 to August 2024 . I left then .
I hope they can understand what real Diablo players want . For PoE players theres that sh1t … one is too slow paced for me and the other is too fast paced for me …
PLEASE NOT A SOULSLIKE AND NOT AN ARCADE …just a Diablo , go play your own remaster of Diablo 2 or Grim Dawn .
Most of people in the world have like 30-60 years old , millions are fans of Diablo 1 , 2 and 3 … and Blizzard loses it because the Arcade wannabe Soulslike . And the fans of the of the one because is too boring , too cheap and too soulslike for the genre .
1.4.3 was a peak for me in D4 … then the downfall was HUGE
Meanwhile i´m in mid of my 5th year in Division 2 because that game respect the time you invested on it , they dont nerf your best gear or specs every 3 months , they dont force you to star over zero every 2-3 months , etc… so i buy the apparels , ofc , they look awesome!!. And Division 2 is just an example
ARPGs are in crisis in critical state because they lost their own identity . And thats after the Golden Years with Diablo 1 , 2 , 3 , POE , Grim Dawn , etc… as great games overall
Have you tried LE by chance?
Next season is going to be more of the same and the next season again and the next…The game is repetitive but many will come back at the start of S7.
If you want to push to Paragon 300 of just have a couple of builds with top quality gear, you need hundreds of hours. With what the drop rate is this season with Ancestrals, you might never get the gear for a single character.
The game is designed to push players to spend a lot of time playing but it only offers them the possibility to do it with extremely repetitive activities, i.e. the Pit for those who what to push to Paragon 300.
Sounds like every other Diablo and Diablo-like game out there. Repeat the same activities until you grow bored.
This is exactly why immersive pvp is the end game resolution.
Just wanted to say that the game requires 100s of hours for some achievements. Even something as basic as maximizing a build require that amount of time. Would be nice if this was possible before being bored. Could take less time or we could have more options to get to the end result.
how did you get to 200 hours? i couldnt play more than like 20
