D4 has more current players on Steam than any other ARPG

It’s still a long ways out. We will see more when Beta arrives.

Yea people keep saying soon lol

6mo isn’t soon imo

Educate myself on my own opinion lol

I still don’t see how it’s going to magically grow the playerbase. Nothing you or the other guy have said tells me it will. And if anything, with PoE2 being slower combat, not sure how that’s going to be the one to bring in casuals.

The only thing little around here is your ego and peepee …

P.S you can root for whatever you want still doesn’t make it a better game than PoE…Or even LE for that matter.

Currently PoE and D4 are around the same while Last Epoch is 20-30kish and on top.

I have played it quite extensively and uh…no LOL

They are not alike in that sense

It was supposed to be directly intertwined with PoE 1. Continue it’s story even with interaction between both games.

“IT WAS NEVER ABOUT REPLACING THE ORIGINAL GAME” It was a continuation but since both games are free to play anyway it was an idea to make 1 game out of em both.

Honestly before you try to make such bolt claims you should gather some more intel before you spread misinformation.

PoE 2 was allways it’s own thing it was just supposed to be intertwined with PoE1.

Kinda like you can make a char in D3 and play D4 with it. Not an uninteresting idea.

It was canceled though as PoE2 was clearly bringing too much new stuff to the table to be intertwined with PoE1.

Stop it. There’s a whole Gamespot article with the devs from last year’s convention.

Where do you get ego from comparing video games? You haven’t seen my Johnson.

I think it’s called a special purpose, not a Johnston.

OK, since we’re derailing this topic, here’s what I think D4 should do to PERMANENTLY (yes, permanently) stay on top

1 - Add new surprise-creation feature in game
2 - Add loot that will individualize everyone’s experience somewhat

That’s it

No more running in circles or climbing a mountain over and over, don’t create “farmable” stuff, create a surprise, or surprise-creating feature (much akin to the challenge of a Harbinger in LE)

Step 1 - there’s a small chance that an elite will gain extra augmentation (faster cast speed, faster movement and attack, greater AoE on all attacks, corrupted hit, enchanted with X element, e.t.c.)
Step 2 - in addition to the regular loot, there will be a chance to gain a new type of loot (Skill Orb - not always but decent amount, say 15-30% will drop) - a socket that can be “attached” to a Skill

Skill sockets are quite random. No-one will get the same skill sockets, and noone will face the same monsters (the chance for gaining same augmentation on a same type of mob is quite relatively low enough so everyone will feel like their version of the game is different enough than some other). But even more so - chances are people won’t use the Skill Orbs on the same skill often either

Skill Orbs allos people to experiment with all kinds of (incremental) augmentations to their skills:

  • Target skill gains 25% extra damage vs Elites and is 25% wider
  • Target skill costs 20% more resource but gains 10% increased lucky hit to it (baseline). If it’s a basic skill gain 20% chance to execute a non-elite instead
  • Target skill gains 50% increased damage but gains a CD increase of 5 seconds
  • Target skill refreshes on Overpower hits by 2 seconds
  • Target skill has a 30% chance to multicast 3 times but has CD increased by 4 seconds

e.t.c.

Can also take another look at NMDs (instead of increment XP gain on a Glyph, make Glyphs drop with a predefined level on them as a loot drop)

But even with the first 2 changes alone - the game will be in a MUCH better shape overall

DONE

Right, I cannot see something non existent…To the other question I won’t reply to it, you can re-read what I said and figure it out yourself

Honestly the thing is a bit more complex and i thing we get lost in nitpicking here.

To settle this.

Yes they said PoE 2 will be an update to PoE1. Cause if you add anything to a game no matter how big it is it will be an update. However they also called it PoE2 from the beginning. What is the point in giving it a clear distinctiv own name when it was never supposed to be it “OWN” thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcd9BfVw7hQ

It is even called PoE 2 in the very first announcment… It was never about replacing PoE1. It was to play both games alongside in one big “MAshup”

Blizz won’t let me include links. Title of article is, " Path of Exile 2 Won’t Replace the First Game After All."

Anyway, none of this even has anything to do with my original question. So…moving on.

PS - You knew it was originally just going to be an update to PoE yet you argued and claimed I was derailing the thread. FFS…

No sir, don’t think I will.

Ok, it doesn’t really matter…you are a strong independent women you can do whatever you please

I am a man of muscular stature.

See we could had settled it. You spread misinformation and i corrected it. Fine.

Now you start to put words in my mouth and act like i was dishonest in what i said and thats a nogo.

Don’t act like i knew this and that i am still pinpointing even with a video link to the “FIRST ANNOUNCMENT” of PoE 2 that this was never supposed to replace PoE1 and was allways it’s own thing.

Jeez i am alergic to this kind of behavior.

The doctors that told you that lied to you miss

You should be allergic to your dumb behavior. You have to live with it. I spread no misinformation, and after all this back and forth, you knew exactly what I was talking about and were mired by semantics. Last time I ever respond to you.
