D4 got me to appreciate D3 even more

After the constant copy/paste seasons I decided to give D3 a go again after a 7 year break. I only played main game and expansion and one character, a necro. OMG that game is so much fun. The map layouts, set pieces and bounties are so good. Ya the art style are a copy of WoW, but I like it. You don’t even care about paragon points in D3. You just play and suddenly you have 20 or 30 points after a session to use. Also being able to switch between adventure and campaign mode, and redo any chapter at anytime is genius. I’ve missed out on so much in the last 7 years. Glad I gave it another go.

I recently played it and forgot how insanely fast you can get OP.

In a out 6 hours of game time, my wizard was blasting through GR90+ like I was playing on normal.

I just forgot the insane power creep.

Like I always say, play what you like, don’t play what you don’t. Enjoy D 3.

Glad you enjoyed it. Last time I played D3 I didnt have an enjoyable experience. In 4 hours solo I was max level, paragon 7-800, geared and around GR 100. I uninstalled the game and likely will never reinstall it.

Imo lets hope D4 never fully becomes D3

I’ve been playing the current season and I just got my 110 clear yesterday, and as easy as the kills were to make the monster variety in grifts is actually varied with noticeably different monster tactics and I have to stay on my toes.
D4 just dumps two barely different families in a slightly branched hallway and says “do this.”

Exactly my thoughts. If I don’t like d4 I play PoE, if I get bored I play last epoch. When I get bored with poe I can play d3. If I’m bored with ARPG I play CS2

I played D3 off and on over the years but never bothered with the seasonal stuff. Just didn’t think it was for me. But once I started doing seasonal stuff in D4 I decided to give D3 seasons a go. Done every season since. Despite being over a decade old the game still stands up.

No you didn’t. You are like every other D4 player that lies about what they just did in d3. As if you just logged onto this game you hate, dominated with your skill for 4 hours then quit on the spot. Give me a break.

The seasons in D3 are so much better it’s not even funny.

Tf are you doing wrong? I played for 15 minutes and I was fully geared blasting 150’s on the leader boards! Then I quit. So glad this game isn’t easy like d3.

What is CS2?
Sounds like an FPS…

Very well, stay a while there and enjoy. That’s the game for you :grinning:

D3 is one of those games that makes the journey from 0 to 90 pretty easy. You can obtain like 90% of the builds full power very quickly. So if you just put together some set items and some supporting legendary items then GR 100+ will be a breeze. If that’s the end of the season for you, then D3 would be a very mindnumbingly boring game. If you know you are that kind of player, its definitely not for you

But for more serious players that want to squeeze more character power, the grind becomes increasingly harder. Getting the ancient version of set items with proper rolls is still easy enough, but certain slots have very low chance to roll great. Take squirt’s necklace for example. Even getting a non-ancient version with element%, CDH, and CDC can take some time to farm and try getting the ancient version of that. Its literally one in a thousand chance.

Then there are players that push leaderboard or simply attain GR 150. And people grind paragon to make this easier.

So if you are content with just getting some sets together and running gr90-100 in D3 with sub P1000, the your game time will be ridiculously short and i can see how you will hate d3.

D3 isnt a bad game. I enjoyed the campaign and some of the seasonal stuff. Necro is REALLY fun in that game. You havent lived until you find your way to the secret cow map and just corpse bomb packs of cows up and down the entire map. SO much fun.

But they really dropped the ball with that WOW art style and I can’t stand the dozen or so levels you have to go thru. Power creep was really bad in that game and the sets forced you more into builds you might not want. I enjoyed my time in the game, but it’s not something I’m interested in reliving.

Play what you like. It’s cool as long as you don’t want D3 sets and graphics style to appear in D4. Maybe Immortal is more for you.

this season of D3 is a lot of fun. You can play almost any build and clear high GRs if you use the kill streak mechanics. Granted, some are more fun than others, lol. Deaths from necro simulacrums don’t count so bloood nova is poopy.

:rofl::joy::rofl:

Ok bob, whatever you say. D3 is the easiest game on the market. Then again as youve said you dont play D4 anymore, but your still here :person_shrugging:

Im sorry you struggle with D3. No wonder you hate D4 so much.

Okay Lazy, lets see how many times you have cleared GR150 solo. lol

Did it once some time ago. GR are just as boring as the pit. I would rather have a loot hunt then farm paragon point. That was one of D3s greatest failures. To have a system that basically makes gear pointless in quality is anti-arpg.

D3 was a good arcade game but thats not my taste or what I want to play.

Its fun this season. When you kill stuff and tie the streaks together cool effects happen. Kill 100 things, a tornado storm appears and kills lots of trash, then at 150 it insta kills elites in the effect, then 200 treasure chests drop from the sky and kill things. Then 300 a super fire nova explodes, then 400 meteorites fall destroying everything and 500 angels drop and slay things. It’s very different! Fun too. My favorite season by far. It’s like playing a different game. As long as you have a build that can stay alive and kill trash you can play anything you want and succeed.
