D4 game improvements, proven features and ideas for the universe

First of all, I wanted to express my deep gratitude to the developers and everyone who works on the game, who plays the game, brings it to the masses, criticizes in an adequate manner (not just criticizes that everything is bad and that’s it, but wants the game to be better) and who cares about the game! (I am honestly under sanctions, that I can’t buy the game in my region, but I still play my favorite game, because I want and am ready to support the developers, thank you!). Sorry for the English, the text was written with the help of a translator. I apologize if I make a topic in the wrong place, I did not find where exactly to write, there are many, many topics and conversations (perhaps, further administrators will send me to the necessary section, if they consider it necessary, thank you!). I wanted to suggest a little about the already proven improvements in the game of the Diablo universe series (a lot of text):

  • Add additional slots to the character: BELT, SHOULDERS, BRACES, the ability to add more variability and aspects, thereby strengthening the character. Thus, cosmetic items will be added to the game for artists (that is, more things can be sold in the store as cosmetics for the character, I think players can also support the game developers here)
  • Add a slot for ARROWS/QUIVER to the rogue, or is that already too many slots for the rogue? Plus, cosmetics also appear on the slot, that is, work for artists and the possibility of selling through the store for players.
  • Give the opportunity to buy additional chest tabs for money (fans will always buy both for their own benefit and as a thank you to the developers in support of the game), I personally do not have enough space for my characters, even though I only play in the season.
  • Add Set sets of 2-3-4-5 parts (it is possible, for example, to introduce for 1 season to try, for example, that a set set does not increase damage and survivability so much, but, for example, greatly increases the gain of experience, and how this set will be needed to reach level 300 faster, so that players use sets as temporary at a certain distance, as if to help pump faster from 270+++ (the level progress is very slow), and you can also consider the possibility of a cool idea from Diablo 3 - where there is an artifact - “puzzle ring”, it is ideal for set sets, and variations of diversity. In general, honestly, I think that good ideas and games of predecessors D2, D3, can be used, so there is space and imagination for the implementation of ideas, yes there are those against the chips from the predecessors of the Diablo series of games, but if you take only the best, which really makes the game, why not take it? Only for taking the best, especially since I will talk about it further
  • Please fix the Pit so that players always have enough monsters to progress on the second floor, so that at least the second floor doesn’t end until the player has made enough progress to get to the boss.
  • Leaderboard for Pit, it’s an endgame game, how can players know who to compete with, yes there are third-party sites where the results are listed, but we would like this feature in our favorite game.
  • Make it possible to teleport to a friend - not via teleport to the main city, very inconvenient. As an example, right-click on the player icon - teleport.
  • A huge request, or rather a plea - to return the ability to take not 5 tables in the paragon, but as many as you like (as many as your improvement points allow), the limitation of 5 tables makes all players’ builds the SAME. No creativity and variety, the game has a crazy potential for variety and searching for the best build, this process is very exciting, not all players want to copy the best builds, many are looking for their own path of development, and want to be given free rein to do so and be able to be creative. With the ability to take as many paragon tables as you like, the player will be even more committed to developing his character, and now it makes more sense to level up to 300 paragon, since there will be more players in the game at that time, because the player wants to see the limit of his character’s strength, through experimentation and searching for the best build.
  • In Season 8, Uber Bosses will be strengthened, just for this idea and implementation. This means that in 1-2 days players will not kill bosses in 2 seconds, the boss should really represent a challenge, but with a higher level players will come to the fact that either solo or in a group game players will kill the Uber Boss faster, that is, these are already players with a high character level and good things, and things that drop from the Uber Boss are of no value to players, only things with great affixes and uber unique things, and there is an idea of ​​​​implementing an anvil like in the “Citadel” location (where we activate the anvil with a character and you can repair your items, only in the case of installing an anvil at the Uber Boss in the location, you could call an anvil for a while, for example, 5 minutes, thereby things will be disassembled directly in the boss’s location (disassembled for gold or materials), things dropped from the boss will not lie on the floor, thus there will be no freezes, critical errors, from a mass dump of items, there will be no large load on the servers, and the location will be clean and no need to make a teleport to the city to break things dozens of times or more as players do now.
  • Cow level - of course we are all waiting for it, but it will probably be after all three evils and additions (so it seems to me), if they will be further in the story in new additions. You can also ask for new characters here (like a paladin/crusader, amazon and others), but it is better for the developers to know how they develop the game and the campaign (storyline). I will use tea to say that I am very even-tempered about the fact that we have not yet fought in the storyline with the real Mephisto in the last addition, most likely the developers have their own ideas on how it should be, and we must wait for it! It is impossible to please everyone. I really like the plot, atmosphere and music of the new addition, and the developers are great and I want to say only words of gratitude!
  • The ability to dress mercenaries, items and aspects. If we refer to D3, then such an approach was not implemented there right away, I still want the mercenary to be useful not only with his passive and active skills, but also to be able to make useful chips from items thanks to aspects that will be tempered on items. There are 4 mercenaries now (and if you look closely at the mercenary room, there may be a 5th mercenary), and the variety of mercenary clothing can also give the game a lot of new builds and tactics, more variety and creativity. Or even separate things only for mercenaries.
    And now a few more features of the predecessors D2 and D3
  • Altar of Rites as in D3 - a super cool thing, it’s a find for the game, it’s a pity, of course, that it was added quite late, and not exactly from the beginning of the game, the beginning of the season, and it was possible to play every season and open the altar. Cool idea - to choose your own path of development, which branch to choose, what is more important and primary for your character, very cool! There is an unreal incentive to improve yourself, this is an ideal solution for playing in seasons, only it is probably impossible to give the opportunity to take a weapon of level 60, that is, so that it is impossible to pass everything easily, over the enhancement slots you need to think what they will be, which are reasonable. The altar gives you the opportunity of another kind of endgame content, a very nice feature as for me.
  • Here is Kanai’s cube - that is, additional aspects so that they work autonomously. It is possible to even add uber things so that they work, for an expensive recipe, so that the passive works, there is something to think about, this is also a thing that only improved the game of D3, why not take the idea since it is good and apply it to D4, just think how, perhaps rework the principle of the cube a little. and the Recipes of the cube need to be thought of, the most banal thing to evade the hero is to give him the opportunity to add his main characteristic to the thing - (agility, strength, willpower) by the type of tempering. For example, remove the scroll of reset, and now reset the order in the cube, etc. There can be a lot of ideas, improve the thing even more and more, to the original or some other name, a lot can be thought up and implemented
  • Of course, the most interesting thing for me is the ability to add TALISMANS (like in D2), make a separate tab (like runes, potions, keys), naturally this greatly changes the concept of the game, but it is the talismans in D2 that make the game long, the search and hope of falling out, the lottery, talismans allow us to improve our character, endlessly improve. We must seriously think about the affixes of talismans, so as not to strengthen the player beyond the sky. And also the most desired and highest reward by analogy with Uber Talismans: Annihilus/Hellfire Torch, with for example, super-super bosses in future installments, bosses that are really difficult, where very good equipment will not be needed, a lot of time to assemble this equipment and the fights with the bosses themselves were more difficult, perhaps the bosses have immunity to something (to the elements, physics, etc.) this will be the real endgame, to defeat the boss, which in theory you can’t even wince to induce, because your assembly beats him, for example, but you will have to dress in 3 equipments and go through, as an example! this will be a test of how strong your character is and how fast your hands, eyes and intelligence are developed! )) I repeat, maybe this or something similar will happen in the future, as the game’s expansion and storyline go, real players and fans are waiting for the 3 greatest Evils)

Your idea is understandable, but my post is not a cry from the heart or “turn D4 into D3”, I mean that you can take the best that works and that players like, maybe not completely, but at least think about the idea of ​​how to transfer it to the open world of D4, it is the open world that is so good, and probably a lot of things cannot be simply taken and implemented into the open world or transferred to it (hence the bugs and errors). We have seasons, why not, for example, try out any idea in a season, such as D4 hero powers (season 2, season 3 constructor seneschal, season 7 rottenheads, and now season 8 will be boss powers), it turns out that hero powers have been around since the second season and players like them, they are being tested, yes there are bugs somewhere, but he who does nothing makes no mistakes, the game moves slowly by method and errors, as for me, players want more and more endgame.
I’m not a developer, but it seems to me that a full-fledged endgame will not appear until there is a full campaign of the game (storyline), so that it is already clear who the main boss is and what the plot is, what the ending is, and players want everything at once. I specifically wrote out the activities in D4 that exist now, there are 11 types with a campaign, and if you are not a speedrunner and do not strive to complete everything in 1-2 days, then the game can keep you for a long time, playing solo or in a group. There is no official leaderboard in the game yet, why chase faster than everyone else?)
