D4 Game crashing – please help

Hi,

I would like to play D4 at default setting without the game crashes.
I have updated windows, drivers, and BIOS. I scanned and repaired the game and finally I reinstalled the game. D4 still keeps crashing at default graphic quality setting.

While playing d4 I noted the following at default graphic quality setting (graphic quality set to high and FPS set to 150):
GPU temperature: around 74
GPU utilization: 95% to 98%

When I set the graphic setting to low and FPS to 60 the game last longer before crashing. At this setting my GPU temperature is around 65 GPU and utilization around 60% to 70%.

What else should do to play D4 at default setting without the game crashes?
Should I buy new GPU?

Get me a copy of your FenrisDebug file from your latest crash.

You can find the file in the Diablo IV installation folder (default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo IV)

Open the file, and copy the entire contents. Then you can paste those contents here:

If for some reason you have more data than the paste can hold, you might have to create two files. (it happens in some cases if there is a lot of data in the file)

you then create a paste with the contents of that file. It will give you a URL, that you can then share here. If you are unable to post the link, then highlight the URL you put in the post and click the </> button in the toolbar above the text box.

I will review it and see what I can suggest to help your setup.

I have almost the exact same stats on my rig and the same problem. 75 to 90 minutes in, and I crash. Here’s the relevant bits of my Fenris Log.

I added a pastebin of my latest fenris log crash in reply to the request above. I have the same basic rig as you (GPU, CPU, RAM) and I crash every 75 to 90 minutes with no commonality between the crashed except the time it takes to crash. Sometimes it happens when just standing in town looking at my inventory, sometimes mid fight, sometimes while walking along a trail. The only commonality is the time i’ve been playing.

I still have this same problem. My game crashes at least once a day without explanation. Before the expansion, D4 ran without problems and my PC is still good. I hope blizzard is not creating “planned obsolescence” forcing players to upgrade their PC with this situation.

I need the entire log. Not what you think are the relevant bits.

All that tells is is the GPU dropped out, which is common. But there is other data that I review to help point you to a best suggestion.

The log would tell me what card, driver, and other stats along with settings and other info, so its very important to get the full file when I can.

With only that data, I can offer the following:

Use DDU (display driver uninstaller) to remove the current driver completely, regardless what version it is.

Before using that tool, you need to download the 561.09 version so its ready. Assuming you have an nVidia card.

You can obtain it from nVidia, and the DDU from Wagnarsoft. Be sure to follow ALL the directions for how to use the DDU tool for best results.

If you haven’t already, create your own thread and paste a copy of your full fenrisdebug file with pastebin.com to share it here.
