The game is great. I had a blast in beta as did a record number of players. The game will be a huge success on launch.
I’m giving Blizzard my money and buying the most expensive game version I can because it’s that good.
It was one of the smoothest Beta’s I’ve ever been in and I’ve been in LOTS.
The gear is complex and interesting. The combat is amazing. The dungeons are fun, I don’t care if they are repetitive. Why would I play a game like D4 and complain about repetitive dungeons??? It’s like playing a MMO and complaining about grinding.
The art style is fantastic. The character customization is pretty good but there is room for improvement. The game looks stunning.
The game also runs very smooth when it isn’t stressed out. On off peak hours the game was butter smooth for me on an old video card. It was only laggy when the servers were slammed on the start of the open beta, which is to be expected from ANY game.
There are problems with the game but there is nothing game breaking. The game is complete and EXTREMELY good.
I can’t wait for release in June. I wish it was much sooner.
No one wants a rehashed version of prior Diablo games. I’ve never played Diablo before because it was NOT appealing. This is the first Diablo game that looks amazing to me. I’m sure tons of other people agree based on the success of the Beta.
I get most of you here are here to complain because that is how forums work. Most happy people don’t waste their time on forums if they are happy. So don’t get deluded you speak for the masses because you feel the game is bad.
I agree. There are some legitimate design issues with some dungeons that will make people focus on more time efficient dungeons, a lot of complaints are related to the balance of the game from people that only got to level 25. My weak barb complaints pretty much disappeared once I learned more about the stat system and focused more on what I actually equipped.
For the most part I think its ready to go. There is infinitely more to do at launch than any past Diablo game had at launch, maybe even all of them put together. I’m not sure why people are being so negative, maybe they’ve never played a Diablo game.
I’ve played every Diablo game on release day, not counting whatever Diablo Immortal is.
This is, so far, my favorite. But it’s also only the beta, and Blizzard has an amazing ability to screw up good things pre- and post-launch. So we’ll see.
But so far, the beta experience has been a real treat.
I get that because of the internet, that “everyone has a voice”, but to be quite honest not everybody should be heard, because what some people say is incorrect or stupid.
The game is far from great, but ok. The visuals are great yes, but the UI not so much. The dungeon mechanics are the main issue not the repetitive nature, i also feel they have to few tiles hence they look the same fast. D4 feels very similar to D3, and thats good but they also added a ton of new issues and solved one paragon-limit. The game runs ok in dungeons but horrible in the open world with a lot of stutter and lag.
I find D4 has more issues then improvements hence the concern, if you enjoy it thats great. However not everyone is in the same boat. Looking forward the endgame-talk, if it’s really impressive i will get the game if not eh i can wait.
Played off peak as well still had zoning stutter/lag, not as much but still there. I play a ton of betas but the issues are still there and this was version 0.8 and two months until live.
If you want to defend a billion dollar company then sure go ahead, but my PC is topnotch
Man I loved the beta but NGL it struggles to transition even on my brand new gaming rig. Also, no point in crapping on people who want to play the game. This game should be able to run on a wider range of systems than it’s currently demanding.
Its fine game for casuals like you, but you can hardly comprehend reasons why people are complaining about d4. Because as you said, you didnt play diablo before so you cant compare it at all. Now i understand why you did personal attacks on me in other topic instead of adressing issues i was talking about. You lack understanding of previous games. Its not an insult, its a fact as you really cant without playing them a lot of hours.
You are completely missing the fact that people who played previous diablo games dont look at Diablo 4 as completely new game. For us who played before other diablo titles a lot, its another Diablo in line.
We want something better or atleast equal to previous diablo games. Its fine that you are ok with good game. But what is good game from your perspective, its mediocre continuing for many others who loved to play diablo for 20 years. So dont try to attack diablo fans just because they want something better. Thank you.
