Hey I get it you want a mode for casuals, people’s kids, and whatnot. That’s fine, make an easy mode. But having a “Veteran” mode where you are just deleting everything in sight is exactly why I hated Diablo 3. You had to keep beating a boring monotonous game over and over to unlock something you’d hope would be more difficult. It’s like waiting in line at the amusement park.
We need to have entirely more flags available for trolls in this dumpsterfire of a forum.
I’m super casual and I agree it was too easy. It’s what I thought the beginner mode would be. I didn’t try the easier mode so I’m wondering how much easier it was. Was there any discernible difference?
Honestly, the snark in their post aside, there have been a lot of people that think it’s too easy.
Its the first act at the 2nd world tier… of course its easy… it doesnt take a genius to figure out that wt2, of 5, isnt going to be that hard.
Stop defending the trolling, or the stupid. They are one or the other.
There is 5 world tiers known so far. Lvl 2 is not even mid point. Of course its not going to be truly challenging yet.
My girlfriend who has never played an ARPG or diablo game absolutely loved the game,
She and her friends however also found the game on veteran too easy
(MOST OF THE TIME)
She had good fights with some of the campaign bosses but overall too easy.
She is a beginner looking for a challenge, and this veteran mode was too easy for her.
It is your comment that needs flagging for trolling, play on adventure mode <3
Its named “Veteran Mode”
Unlock the rest of the tiers from the jump then. I don’t want to waste my time playing a game a five year old can beat to get to the real content.
Level 2? You mean level 25? “VETERAN MODE” “PLAYERS LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE”
Which is essentially 2/3 of the game before end game, at level 50 you unlock paragon and stop unlocking skill points, at 70 you are at end game.
Thats like me saying Deadmines feel too easy at level 20 on retail WoW atm.
WoW didnt have world tiers to select a difficulty.
I meant world tier 2, not level 2.
No. But D2 and D3 weren’t hard at level 25 either.
So you think leveling should be a very easy experience and it only ramps at the end game?
Again, D2 did not have a “Veteran mode” to select from the beggining.
D3 difficulty choices were terrible.
What I think is that you shouldnt expect too much of a challenge from lower world tiers. 3 and upwards, now we are talking.
Why is it not ok for the “veteran players” to have a difficulty that provides no bonus in rewards but just more challenge for fun?
I already dont care if veteran has higher exp gain or not, i just want a harder version of the game so the leveling experience is engaging and enjoyable not faceroll watch netflix.
Don’t ever pick Veteran mode. You kill faster with Adventure mode. Veteran mode is not that much harder. Instead fights take longer so Adventure mode is better choice, because loot drops remain the same on both.
The real end game starts at level 50. Do you really want to get 1 shotted all the way to 50 before the game even begins? After Torment level they most likely add Hell for the fifth. Maybe you can start with Hell at some point from level 1 and get 1 shotted 10 times per hour. Have fun.
Also try to remember that people have life too. Not everybody can play 24/7.
What are you talking about, if the games too hard for you, you pick the lower world tier, easy fix.
So the leveling experience should be faceroll+watch netflix for people that want a bit of challenge?
We need to have a tag for fanboys who spend their time batting away constructive criticism as trolling. You people are the death of gaming. I remember all the fanboys in New World defending it while the game was leaking player count like the titanic.
Im talking about the fact that not all players want to struggle against every mob because game is “harder”. They don’t have time for it. And this is beta. Pretty sure you can start higher than Veteran after you unlock it when game goes live in 11 weeks.
What I do feel is the XP. You get to level 10 way too fast in beta.
