D4 ain't a niche game it is made for the mass all we need a better endgame grind, more exciting gears to hunt and build diversity

Just further proves that blizzard has everything right about D4 in terms of core accessibility and direction of the game. With the exception of spending resources on making group content imo, not sure about DC but…

D4 and D3 are targeting mass and every beginning of season the game is just super fun for everyone. It is only until end game weeks after season people start to fall off and get bored. Why ?

It is simple, D4 in itself , in nature is a super awesome game to play when fresh. But it severely lacks end game , rewarding endgame , and some good class balance , and exciting skills.

We need more bosses, (DO NOT up the difficulty, keep it the same as now), but more bosses, more different loot to hunt down and more build diversity. and then, you make a solid end game that keep people playing over and over . After all that, D4 would be the best ARPG on the market that is truly made for the mass majority of the player.

yea you see that every season here. People enjoy the season, and depending on how much you play, you are of course done at a a certain point. Then people will go hyperbolic lol.

Usually its starts like 2-3 weeks into a season here.

granted, s6 itselfs wasnt anything great - without VoH itd have been super boring.

On the difficulty i must disagree with you. Id prefer if there was, even if its optional, some higher difficulty on certain things. I honestly expected the citadel to have extra mechanics for example on t4.

The whole Diablo subgenre has always been casual-friendly and was intended for that, hence why POE players thinking they’re playing some ultra hardcore game is laughable.

Sorry, what?

Diablo II was furthest thing from a casual experience if you, in any capacity, played beyond a single playthrough of the game and actively engaged with the player economy and ladder structure, which was 90% of the game’s appeal in 2000. Not sure what you’re even talking about.

Do you think PoE isn’t hardcore?

Current difficulty is fine don’t you think ? We have options now. The reward department is up for debate but Torment 1-4 seems ok.

Then we have class balance issue , some have easier time to T4 than others…

i mean, i guess its “fine” but i for sure wouldnt mind if t4 was a little rougher to be honest. ^^

Yea we dont have to talk about class balance. im glad i didnt play SB in s6. i think id have been bored to death ^^

Yes.Diablo has a good designer. You look at the skill and say this is used with that. The skills make sense.POE you have 5% to cause poison damage to a frozen enemy.Which when you die creates bats with fire damage. No It’s well developed. And it’s all random. I like the wizard casting spells. And not the barbarian.

Except D4 is not fun, let alone “super fun”. It is grind for grind’s sake, without an end reward to work towards.

I don’t mind grinding. If you don’t like grinding why play arpg right ?

PoE also makes your grind.

D4 you grind with much less frustration and headache, it is fun to grind. On the other hand …

Again, subjective… fun is subjective.

I like grinding, when it is fun to grind, and there is a reason to do. Grinding for the sake of grinding is garbage.

is it really fun to grind when you have to die 10X just to kill 1 enemy ? boss ? whatever you want to call it…

of course there has to be a purpose to grinding, there needs to be a goal, achievable , and good rewards in the end right ?

D4 serves that purpose quite well if you ask me.

It is fun to finally achieve killing that boss that has been your bane of existence, yes. When you finally achieve doing something that you thought was difficult with your skill rather than gaining bigger numbers, it is much more satisfying.

D4 serves no purpose, honestly. There is no depth to the game to work towards.

this is where we part path in terms of how we enjoy a game.

No one is wrong here. And that is why you have PoE 2 which is made for your enjoyment. And I have D4.

I am just disappointed that Diablo as a franchise has not built upon what it created itself. I enjoyed 1 and 2, but after that, Blizzard has done nothing worthwhile. I will look at quality developers from now on. I didn’t play PoE 1, but PoE 2 has been nothing short of fantastic. Plus with Grim Dawn coming with a new expansion, and hopefully Titan Quest 2 being at least as good as the original, I will not have want to touch a Diablo game again, except for replaying the earlier good ones.

and I enjoyed D3 a lot… for many years in fact.

That should explain a lot already as to why I prefer the current state of D4, and that PoE is not a game made for myself.

I never found arpg grinding fun tbh, i used to watch in amazement at people that did in D3 and just think how. Tried it got bored and played other games.
Same with this obsession with speed, it;s like car games you have gran turismo a car sim game and you want it to be burnout or need for speed…

and all racing games must be fast of they are garbage takes. like what the heck? lol

Whereas I thought Diablo 3 was a garbage game from launch, is still a garbage game, and D4 is a spiritual successor to Diablo 3, and so is also a less than stellar game, despite the developers claiming they “are going back to their roots”. Unfortunately, their roots meant all the way back to Diablo 3, which is why the game is so shallow.

Some people prefer faster, some prefer slower lol that is what she said…

Anyways, jokes aside. I think it is matter of preference. Isn’t it nice now ? PoE 2 is out and it fills the gap for many that want a slower, souls like experience of a ARPG game ?

PoE 1 and D4 are both fast paced , difference being one is really complex, the other is more simple.

Now there is a space for everyone ?

Well they also went back to the roots and took a name form D1 and called it a day.

I played D1 and laughed when the skeleton was called corpse bow no lie, and so yeh they went back to the roots alright. Cool nod, but they took the least relevant things.

Would have been a nice easter egg if the core roots was not as you said, d3. or some version of it, the more i look into things i can see how D3 runes appear as aspects etc.

Which i don’t hate that much tbh, it;s the execution of it all, that lacks something and perhaps they will polish it, but idk can’t tell sometimes, if the game is trying to be a meme or a game.

You are right it should be, and poe/d3 tryhards are doing the same as what happened here, and its all about the pace and difficulty so , yeh time will tell if the fold like D4 did i guess… so yeah for how long is what i am wondering, sad to see it though this generation that cannot adapt at all.

I played Guild wars1 and 2 was very different, i ended up liking 2 more, but i didn’t hate play 2 going in global chats, streams petitions and BS like that about it, and you know now we have gamer celebs that think they run the games they coat tail, telling it how it should be…is just next level what the.

Like if you don’t like it there is the door go find something you like lol…simple.

I don’t get the notion where if a studio make a new game is super hard , it gets well received and praises even if the game is sub-par ?

But if a studio make a game that is simple and easy, it gets bad reviews and worse even if the game is good ?

I mean easy game doesn’t mean it is bad game. And hard game doesn’t mean it is good game.
