I’d like to grind to torment difficulty then beat the story, is that possible? To play FIRST STORY playthrough on torment difficulty?
It’s Diablo 3 question
Edit - Reading comprehension…
FIRST PLAYTHROUGH - Hmm… I think the Level Cap is Torment 6.
You’ve previously completed the Campaign?
If so you can revisit the Campaign at any difficulty you desire. Normal through T16.
Why, yes you can junior!
What kind of game wouldn’t allow players to play on a harder difficulty?
You’re limited to torment 6 until you hit level 70. But, you can reset the campaign whenever you want in D3, so you can get to 70 in whatever way you choose, and then start the campaign.
I never beat the campaign. I want to beat the campaign for the first time on highest diffiuclty possible in the game
I believe that would be Torment 6 as I edited my reply above to show my error in reading your question.
Honestly it’s been so long… iirc a new player has access up to Torment 6.
Once you hit level 70 as posted by another user: You can unlock up to T16.
edit - ngl…little envious. It’s always nice seeing people give feedback on their 1st D2 or D3 playthrough.
New eyes, new experience.
Have a great time!
Yes you can.
You just have to level to max level in Adventure mode, unlock the highest Torment level in Adventure mode and then you can do the Campaign mode at the highest Torment mode.
Otherwise as stated if you are starting at level 1 then Torment 6ish is as high as you can go. And frankly if you are level 1 running around with empty gear slots, 1 generator skill, the lowest DPS weapon in the game, then Torment 6 is plenty hard.
You have to beat the campaign first to unlock Adventure Mode.
Highest difficulty is Greater Rift 150 which is not even available for campaign mode.
For campaign it is T16 (equal to GR75) which is available from lvl70, but requires special gear (item sets) to be viable. Level scaling is extreme in D3.
So you have to play campaign first and level up playing it. Most games work this way.
If you really want to start with Adventure Mode you need someone who has completed the campaign to invite you to the final campaign level and complete it with you to unlock Adventure mode. But this makes no sense seeing al the bosses and places without knowing the story.
I’d like to do the same in D4, but that I don’t think is possible?
Haha right? What kind of dumb game wouldn’t allow you to pick a difficultly that actually provides a challenge when doing the campaign the first time?
I think they changed that. I think you can play adventure mode without beating campaign now.
