D2R more fun than S4?

Compare season 1 to now and say again nothing has changed that the community forced lol are you delusional? We just had a rework of loot because of said community

D2R is a bad game comparing to PD2.

PD2 is what should D2 look like. If they port it on D2R engine than there is no need for D4.

When did I say nothing? Again please re-read my reply. I said

I never said ā€˜nothing has changed’. Far from it, things have definitely changed, I’m saying the majority of peoples complaints, ideas, suggestions, etc. have mostly been ignored. Including this post and people like them.

Which opinion was voiced to advocate for any change? So far, I’ve simply read, ā€œI don’t like D4ā€, and ā€œI’ll buy the expansion, only laterā€.

Coming from a business owner myself - I don’t care if people say they dislike what I sell - as long as they buy. I also don’t care if they say I’ll buy later - as long as they buy.

So to me, the OP has stated absolutely nothing meaningful at all. In fact, it’s rather a positive message for Blizzard, since the OP stated they’re a current customer and will be one in the future.

Every change from release to now was imposed by the community, maybe read real feedback in this forum instead of just trolling people giving feedback?

I said I dont intend to consume their product at launch, and will wait until its polished, potentially over a year later. Thats a lot of revenue they potentially lost from me in the mean-time. I’ll probably drop a couple hundred in path of exile before that comes around…

I am well aware, that is an insignificant amount from just one person. But when 100, 1000, or even 100,000 people have a similar mindset/spending habits, that becomes a substantial amount lost.

Every idea isn’t a great one we can agree on that but arguing on a forum against the sole purpose of said forum is kinda crazy

Some people think they ā€œownā€ the forums.

Is the forum newbie trying to recruit long time diablo players back to playing D2? :person_shrugging:

LOL you are delusional if you truly believe that. Some changes have been coincidental with community complaints, but by and large 99% get ignored.

I’ll give an example. Loot Reborn. Yes, the community advocated for loot changes - but that happens constantly anyways. It’s happening right now in D2R, which isn’t even being actively developed. It is my strong opinion that Loot Reborn was already planned and in the works for the expansion later this year - it was just released earlier. It’s why Tempering and Masterworking feel incomplete and a bit underbaked. Need examples there? I can easily provide!

They couldn’t feel under baked because they were put together fast in order to replace a system that the community hated? Come on now

I’m sorry you don’t understand, I can’t make it any clearer either. The fact some one would complain about a video game, actively promote it, and plan to purchase the expansion just boggles my mind.

It’s like walking into a store, complaining about their merchandise, then coming back months or a year later and buying their products that may have changed slightly. Not due to your ā€˜complaints’ because all you said was quite literally ā€˜your store and merchandise suck’. There’s no constructive criticism what so ever in the OPs post.

Edit: OP has since changed their original post to actually include constructive criticism.

Might be a forum newbie, but I’ve had the account since classic wow and played the diablos at launch, just something I noticed after reinstalling the game. I’ve paid less for this game, enjoyed it more and yet blizzard is charging us more for another d4 expansion. Just something I observed that I wanted to comment on. Makes no difference to me if people are playing d2r as I play everything SSF anyways :stuck_out_tongue:

They lose $0. A purchase is a purchase.

They’d only lose revenue if you are a cosmetics purchaser. Are you? If you are, you’ll be one of the ones that have already pre-purchased.

Well uh with my comprehension skills it’s pretty clear he wishes it was more like d2, he could elaborate more but I get the jist

I have spent ~$600 on path of exile, by choice on various things because I enjoy the game, and I want to support it. I would never do that in diablo 4 though.

This helps the developers how? What exactly would he like from D2 to cross over? The stamina bar system? The variety of potions one can use? The horrible set pieces? The lack of any endgame content what so ever? The Runeword pigeon holing system? The open-loot system where it’s a free for all to grab loot if you happened to be grouped?

Anything would’ve been better then a blanket statement saying they have more fun in D2R and to fix their game.

Yea runewords that were promised to us before release would be amazing, diablo in an actual diablo game would be great just a few off the top of my head

That’s actual criticism! Thank you! At least it’s something we can debate about, instead of ā€˜fix your game’.

In all seriousness though what is your take on no diablo still in the game?
