Running around in circles for what felt like hours hoping the enemies would finally die that were barely slowed if at all in caltrops was SOOO much fun in the random magic gear you usually were sporting in addition to the set items with stats not at all helpful to your build. Watching your friends quit because “OMG Act II wasps are so unfair”! What a magical and delightful thing it was!
I ultimately soloed Inferno, it was a miserable experience and I blame being younger and at the time not happy with my personal life for slogging through it.
Anyone that liked it will never like this game, and I say that as somebody whom lately has been very vocal about dissatisfaction with D4’s xpac. D3 vanilla was for masochists. Period.
