Customization and Endgame

Hello!

I have been thinking about what would make this game even better and came up with an idea to allow you to truly customize your experience as well as bring some great endgame content.

In the area where the Tree of Whispers is they can re-work that entire area. Call it something like the “Forest of Wanderers”. Instead of just having the Tree of Whisper we now have new trees that offer different things. Some ideas I have thought of:

Tree of Powers: It has all the powers from all the seasons we have had in the past and you can take points you earn to customize what powers you want. Maybe even each season they come up with 3-5 new powers specifically for that season.
Tree of Optimization: You can put points in to increase chances for max rolls of tempering and enchanting as well as increasing your chance of hitting on a stat you already hit on when master working (increasing your chance to triple crit). Maybe even have an option where you have an increased chance to hit on passives while enchanting.
Tree of Luck: There will be options to put points in where you could potentially increase the percentage for drops (Mythics/Gold/Runes (legendary)/Ancestrals/Ancestral Uniques/Obducide)
Tree of Challenge: This tree would be for people that love a challenge and plateau in difficulty. You can increase difficulty of bosses, elites, NMDs, helltide, etc., but also with that increase in difficulty it also gives you a positive increase (higher percentage to get legendary runes, mythics, XP, etc)
Tree of Summoning: This tree allows you to take skills/passives from other characters to use on your current character.
Tree of Journeys: This tree allows you to unlock extra journey challenges of your choosing and by completing a challenge you earn a cool new skin or a title.

The tree options are endless as the game grows. And maybe having a tier system within each tree. For example: Tree of Powers: All blue powers are on Tier 1 and so on, Tree of Luck: +1% Increase chance on Tier 1, +3% Tier 2 and so on, etc.

I also think there should be a cap on the max amount of points you can put into one thing. So it’s not like you can just keep putting infinite amt of points into Tree of Luck and 100% guarantee mythic drops every time you fight a boss. I also wouldn’t want to see everyone just max everything out…want you to be selective with your points. Maybe similar to your XP bar the further you get in the game the favor bar takes longer to fill up.

And each thing you choose in a tree will have to be unlocked in order to upgrade it. The unlock would take 5 points and then each upgrade to that would just take one point.

I feel like this would be a good way for incorporate some really unique customization in the feel of your game and also allow for something to work towards as you hit that end game.

Just a concept I kinda threw together. What are your thoughts? And do you have added ideas to this concept?

I honestly would prefer them to balance the game before adding new powercreep.

Thats not to say they cant put more complex systems in that are actually interesting. Everything is just to oversimplified and watered down.
