I think there should be an event to let us play as the Doomguy, or Doom Slayer, or at least doing “Doom-themed” challenges to let us earn cosmetics and gear tied into Doom franchise, which of course includes, Praetor Suit, double-barrel shotgun, Chainsaw and BFG 9000!

Doom and D4 crossover does have some common ground.

When I saw Inarius Ripping & Tearing those Demons between Him and Lilith, I knew it: “Yep, Doom material!”.
Now that Microsoft owns both Diablo and Doom franchises, this crossover is definitely viable.
This was part of the recent survey they sent out.

WoW was such a success. Why not branch into other games. Diablo MMO, Doom MMO, Starcraft MMO. WoW 2. Such possibilities. Starcraft esp with 3 races to pick at start. Why are these not a thing yet?
I Absolutely love Doom but ffs lets not turn d4 into cod mw3. A circus of horrible looking celebrities and themes. “wanna be” gagsters running around with drugs and a pink stripper, Hard Pass.
If anything, go see the Mythic Legion guys. that would be cool and blends perfectly in with Diablo. (ML Line)

FIFA cannot happen, but Fallout… not a bad choice. Some regions of Sanctuary do looke like a Wasteland! Deathclaws roaming around would give a very good challenge! And Power Armors could be adapted into classes too… I like it.
Exactly. Even F fortnight (or how is that kids game called) is better than current cod. I don´t wan´t any crossover which ruin immersion and lore.
Too late for that, Diablo III already included some cosmetic crossovers with Overwatch and Starcraft. The actual issue here, as you pointed, is lore, if they tried to justify a crossover with Doom with Narrative that could be part of Canon… that would be messed up indeed.
As for Call of Duty, that franchise became a cash-grab Mess many years ago, especially after Black Ops 2… those anything-Crossovers within Call of Duty: Warzone have zero care about immersion nor lore, as long as they sell. My conscience is clear about that because I do not even play it, let alone spend money on it.
Those were Rare items from collectors edition, different than the meaning here.
Crossovers ruined Magic The Gathering. If you want doom, play doom. I didn’t enjoy doom outside of god mode and that lasted all of a half hour. It would annoy me to see it in this game.
Just giving a counterpoint, when you do a crossover not everyone will like it and I feel it has a high potential to ruin the integrity of the main game. It certainly did with magic, now I’ve gotta fight transformers, godzilla, walking dead and stranger things characters, even My Little Pony. It’s Universes Beyond Stupid.

It doesn’t seem like Blizzard can create anything related to Starcraft since they cancel all the projects.
there’s nothing wrong with cross-overs as long as you opt into them. they shouldn’t be required content. just optional “extra stuff” outside of the basic gameplay experience. would people pay for Doom skins in Diablo? YUP. would everyone else want to see those skins? probably not. not everyone wants to see different game characters. purists, stuff like that, do not appreciate change. would I like to see some bethesda/blizzard collabs? of course!
