So, I started rogue, and which class is heavily relying on crit/vul. This nerf make the class feel inferior, exactly what the patch note said. A crit now barely hit 70%x with vulnerable target. It is just super duper bad, and that is with Victimize as well…crazy stuff
I’ll be honest, i barely felt the nerfs on my eternal necro
Don’t forget that enemy scaling also got rebalanced to go along with the changes to player stats/itemization. I don’t think much light has been shed on how enemy health was changed, but it’s supposedly in there to balance things out so it doesn’t really feel like much of a nerf.
So most OP class in most ez seasson complain about nerf. Thats hilarious
Add my discord or Battlenet. I’ll get you Goated up so you can start enjoying the game again. Crit / Vuln is just fine. If you are interested in learning, I’ll send the discord , if you’re just a complainer like the 99% I’ll sleep just fine while I’m pushing content as usual.
Choose one of the following :
1.) Future Goat
2.) Remain Bot
3.) Toxic Insult with RNG bait if “meta pro info from YT”
4.) Do nothing
Yeah right, try that to the Butcher. If he was a tough boss before, he is 5X harder now, for solo player
Some suggestions to soften the nerf:
Imagine you are now in WT5 having cleared the download 7GB capstone dungeon.
The monsters are actually 50% tougher than before and your gear is the same. If you regear from your 800 item level to 900 item level weapons, you will close this gap signifantly to maybe only 20% tougher.
The math is something like item level 800 damage on 1H was 1200, on 900 level is 1800 damage. So 2x 1H is 1000 damage difference, so roughly a 30% power boost from where you are now.
Finally, drop all your vulnerable damage nodes. Treat them as additive. So anything that adds more than 7% on paragon board as additive, use those instead of the vulnerable/exploit glpyh nodes.
You will feel basically the same except for bosses which got their own HP boost. And how those bosses feel like now is what the devs want the game to feel like. But open world, hell tides mobs you will return to one click one kill.
1 days into season 2 and people behave like balancing pros without even being in the end game lol
thats on you for stacking that stat
you still want crit chance to proc stuff, but you should have stacked close / core / skill / poison instead, theres no point in stacking crit dmg and vul anymore
rogue is still strong af, you dont have to believe me, just go check
Seems to work fine as long as you pretend Crit and Vulnerable don’t exist. Just acknowledge they are useless and use something else. At least from a barb perspective.
Coming from D3 it’s weird to me that Crit is now additive with everything else past a certain point.
But honestly, kind of cool to mostly just read the gear and add damage bonuses that seem strong with the build without a ton of research.
Of course, pretty sure skill damage is still its own bucket. So gotta stack that where possible.
He was never really hard… just gear dependant. I died the first time i saw him pre season. Thats it. Every other time i have deleted him. I just stood there and spammed his face. Itll be even easier now with free life steal from vamp traits.
Context is useful. T100 facetanking butcher? Found him in openworld celler? Seasonal/eternal?
Didnt matter where i found him. Most of them were nm 65 to 70. Thats where my gear and spec seemed to cap out last season before getting 1 shot by mobs randomly. Easier to kill him than some elite packs.
I wouldn’t profess to be a ‘pro’ or have a definitive answer, but as an eternal player this is what I have currently found testing my existing characters in the eternal end game.
Minus S2 powers, I assume the math will work largely the same way on how the damage buckets apply.
no version of him is anywhere NEAR difficult as long as your build is somewhat competent
Also started a rogue this season and I am dominating. Honestly the changes were great, I no longer have to heavily invest into Crit/Vuln damage, anything works with our builds now. There’s a build that focuses on Ultimate damage instead, which is just hilarious.
You now have the option to experiment more rather then be pigeon holed into a specific build, I suggest you try it out before complaining about it.
oh snap that does sound fun lol
how does it fare against bosses like uber lilith?
man i am cruising with my pulverize druid in seasonal. i lay waste to hordes of enemies like its nothing
Ive killed him eternal, t100, so no worries.
