The ARPG I play most outside of D4 is Grim Dawn, which lets you have two classes. While watching the stream, when they brought up witchcraft, and seeing a lot of that is the old Witch Doctor class…
What if they added 5 or 6 different “borrowed power” tracks, you choose one at character creation, as a way to add “multiclassing” to D4. It could help with build diversity (hopefully) and allow other idea.
Say one was the witchcraft track, another was something that added holy powers to any class - adding it to a melee class could let you do something life a paladin.

You can already use two skills from another class in the VoH with the runes.

I know. I love that. But I was thinking the addon like the season would be something that was not another class, but a different flavor to add color.
There are benefits in the Grimm Dawn System no doubt. ITS a good system.
But so IS the Diablo System. In Diablo the classes have more personality.
Each class IS different in visuals and skills.
I think they runes in d4 are a promising system. WE Just need way more.
I want to Play a barb that Cast chainlighnig in each Attack. Runes could do that. So i think what you suggest could bei achieved by runes.
