Crashes problem solved (RTX 4070)

I found a solution that allows me to play in 4K on high settings, as previously, with no stuttering and no crashes. Apparently there was one more option connected to the RTX GPUs that can be easily missed: in the graphic options look for Performance panel and then Resolution Scaling. I chose option ‘NONE’ insted ‘nVidia DLSSSR’ and have no problems now. Of course other RTX related settings are turned off. I missed that option at first because it’s separated from the others RTX-related. I hope that solves it at least for some of you.

I’ve been having recurring problems with freezing and crashing for weeks. Support always sends the same emails with links to the help pages. None of this helped. But your tip! For the first time in over an hour I can play without crashing.
What a shame that such a hint doesn’t come from support.

Thank you very much ! :+1:

I haven’t posted on the support forum in a long while, but I did fire up the game last night and tried it out to see if it was still working fine for me.

Played for over an hour, had no problems. Still using a 4080 Super on 1440p, as of this post running nVidia driver 551.31.

Full DLSS with DLAA and frame gen enabled, FPS capped to 100. Full ray tracing enabled. All game quality settings at max/Ultra. Works smooth as always. The game had popped up a question about ray tracing elements and I had enabled that as well before playing.

Oyi.

I did see they actually had put out a notice about the frame gen, but I have not disabled mine yet.

Will play more later this week and see if I have any issues.

Glad to here. It was worth posting then!
