Crashes, crashes, and more crashes

Current issues (that weren’t present roughly two weeks ago with 0 changes to system and drivers):

  • 50% of the time when opening Battlenet PC desktop app it sits there loading forever (spinning logo)
  • 45% of the time the app opens but the Battlenet interal browser won’t load news/events (Chats/Groups also won’t load when this happens)
  • 4% of the time it opens correctly and then flashes and goes back to a loading logo
  • 1% of the time everything opens correctly (but it may still crash after 3-5 minutes of being open and displayed

After all of this when I can finally open the game:

  • The game crashes to desktop 3 minutes into a pit playing a lightning Sorc
  • The game crashes in 5-8 minutes just existing in town or really anywhere else

I’ve done every recommended step:

  • Reinstall Battle.net desktop app
  • Reinstall desktop app after deleting Battle.net folders in APPDATA and Program Data folders
  • Reinstall Diablo 4 after deleting the folders
  • Reinstall Diablo 4 after deleteing the folders and reinstalling the desktop app
  • Creating firewall exceptions for the dektop app
  • Creating firewall exceptions for Diablo 4
  • Creating firewall exceptions for both the app and game ports
  • Creating Router Port forwarding rules for both the app and game ports
  • Sacrificing a rabbit during a full moon while facing north and praising Manul

System specs:

  • Windows 11
  • Latest Nvidia drivers (Feb 20)
  • Intel Core-i9-14900KF
  • MSI Z690 Ace mainboard
  • 48 GB (24x2) Corsair SK Hynix DDR5 @ 6400 Mhz (conservative clock)
  • Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090
  • Corsair watercooling (nice low temps)
  • Samsung 980 Pro m.2 SSDs
  • Zero crashes on literally any other game or program

After all of this,…I’m done. Sorry Blizz, it’s not me, it’s you. This relationship just isn’t working for me.

Totally, it’s definately the top-end CPU and not the single app/game that are having the issue…

Diablo 4 is the most crash-prone game in recent decades.

It is YOU tho. Cyas later gator.

They are prone to the like but if other games aren’t having problems the answer is obvious

How much they paying you, just curious.

You can be rough

Just get tired of the whining, and never to blame crowd.

…I have the best pc, blah blah blah, 20000 gb fiber internet. Can’t be my fault…

But I don’t see any other threads with your problems. Yet you just want to rip blizzard. If I had your problems, I’d be upset as well. But an isolated incident is a YOU thing, sorry.

Ok lemme take an obtuse stab at it…
Someone already said “You problem”.
 - it’s your mouse :mouse2:. Chewing your wires for sure.
Nonono it’s your gaming chair. Definitely your gaming chair! D4 isn’t compatible with your gaming chair.

Sigh some people.

All I can say is I feel your pain.
I went through gaming hell with this silly program.
Nearly 2 weeks of 9 distinct Crash types, bugs and errors. Maybe more… I stopped taking screenshots and keeping track.
But 9 I’m sure of.

Why?! No reason I can figure.
Why?! Because it just resolved itself one day…one patch dropped and suddenly without doing a damn thing, the game WORKED.
After. A. Patch.

Some workarounds are just comical - fresh install Windows. Really? For a game when literally everything I can throw at my computer works just fine?
Etc.
Ridiculous.

Hope it works out for you op.

They just can’t help themselves.

Oh man, it must be fun being you.

I’m sure everyone around you is like, “I can’t wait to hang out with Mindcry again, he’s such a treat to be around!”

Similar for me, but not as bad as your experience. I’d say it got really bad the past few weeks. Constant DCs for me. Sometimes I have to force close because it will freeze and show like my mercs on the left side of the screen and hud at the bottom, but the rest of the screen is blacked out.

Mostly though it just gives me the standard DC error and I get kicked o to the character select screen. Sometimes I can load right back in and other times I get the error saying I didn’t get fully logged out so I wait a few minutes and am able to get back in. Frustrating and like i said, only ramped up to this level the past few weeks.

twice in 15 minutes… ended pit, upgraded glyph and when I exited, got DC’d to the character select screen losing all my buffs… like always.
