[Crash] High/Very high texture setting

Since the release, I have been experiencing regular game crashes when setting the texture quality above medium. They are the ‘fun’ type of crash, where the PC needs to reboot itself. If I lower the settings to ‘Medium’ I can play for much longer - although my sessions rarely exceed an hour in duration thus I don’t know whether I delayed the inevitable or ‘fixed’ it. But with 3440x1440 medium textures look kind of ‘meh’ and my machine ought to be able to handle more.

Specs:
Ryzen 5950x
Intel Arc LE 770 ( 16GB Vram )
32GB Ram
Gigabyte Gaming X570 mobo
Windows 10, and latest drivers, of course.

Check the system requirements. There you can see that the targets are FHD 60 fps on high for your card.

High

  • OS: 64-bit Windows® 10 version 1909 or newer

  • Processor: Intel® Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen™ 2700X

  • Memory: 16 GB RAM

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 XT or Intel® Arc™ A770

  • DirectX®: Version 12

  • Storage: SSD with 90 GB available space

  • Internet: Broadband Connection

  • 1080p resolution, high graphics settings, 60fps

Is that relevant to anything? The game runs fine regardless of settings and VRAM requirements are met. Either way, it should not crash.

No one knows what causes your crashes. You can check the system log, if there are errors there, they may lead you to the cause.

Make sure you have Resizable BAR enabled as intel has stated that the Arc cards benefit greatly from it.

Akshually… I had it enabled and crashes persist. I disabled it and the game seems to run stably. So it seems it is Intel or AMD bug - depends whether the issue is related to graphics card or chipset.
