Crafting on the Clock

Want to add sockets to equipment? You need to kill the world boss who appears every 4 hours to get the mats. Yep. Been that way since day one. Salvaging socketed items won’t give the mats back. Not even a low chance. The chance is zilch.

So Blizzard wants to put your life on a D4 clock and no matter what you might be doing when the alarm goes off drop everything and go kill the world boss. Oh - and sometimes the mat doesn’t drop. Come on Blizzard. Your lives may be gaming but most of us have other responsibilities, like preparing meals, doing chores etc .

Dude you can get scatered prisms by killing globins and doing infernal hordes. I havent killed many world bosses and already have more prisms than I know what to do with

Multiple ways to get Scattered Prisms.

  1. Goblins
    • 15% Chance at WT1&2
    • 25% Chance at WT3
    • 30% Chance at WT4

  2. World Bosses
    • 1 at WT1&2
    • 2 at WT3
    • 3 at WT4

  3. The Butcher
    • Always drops 1

Apparently you can also get them from Infernal Hordes too.

I have also gotten them randomly as world drops, but rarely.

Sounds like someone is

  1. Avoiding content
    and/or
  2. Wasting mats by adding sockets to leveling gear

Just my two cents

Killing goblins depends on chance worse than waiting for a world boss. Plus, it looks like if another player “wakes him up” then you can’t even hit him. That’s happen to me several times. Infernal hordes I did not know about. Blizzard should change the tool tip that says only world bosses. BTW - I’m not a dude. Hate to burst your bubble but women do play Blizzard games. But thx for the info.

Everyone’s a dude, guy. My best friend’s a lady and she’s still a dude. And we play D4, played D3, and played the heck out of WoW during WOTLK.

I also refer to groups of things as “little mans” so I am just now realizing maybe this is a me thing lmao

Dude has always been universal to mean just about anyone. I’ve used it for both men and women.

You choose what you want to do. Stop whining.

I have over 100 mostly from hordes and other non boss stuff. You can also get a bunch from seasonal journey caches and the new rep if you’re on seasonal.

You can also get them from the dude praying inside a ritual circle in heltides.

You’re hilarious. Thanks for brightening my day,

I get tons of them from the new horde mode thing, just pick material chest at the end

This isn’t true. The Scattered Prisms used to drop in cellars and treasure goblins in Seasons 1-3, but I never saw any in Season 4 outside of World Bosses.

I think it’s a Season 4 change to be only at the World Bosses now.

EDIT: Forgot about Hordes in Season 5! They drop them too!

In Helltides, look for the Cultist that is kneeling on the ground with a chat bubble above its head. Many times when he splodes, a treasure goblin pops out. I have several dozen prisms.

On a funny note. Sometimes the Cultist goes “Oh No!” and I always picture the Kool-Aid man crashing in and saying Oh YEAH!"

No on both counts but I think my problem is I only just made level 60 . I have had 2 mats drop and I used them on two of the uniques that are part of the maxroll endgame guide for my class. Thx for making me check things out. Running infernals at T1 level would probably be a waste of resources. I’ll wait until I can do at least T2. The other thing is I am a very unlucky gal LOL

You can get prisms many ways other than world bosses actually. Which you could have googled yourself in the time it took you to make this post…

Why do that when you can just make a whiny post complaining about insignificant things :rofl::rofl:

A fun fact that no one seems to know. The materials chest in Infernal Hordes also drops prisms.

And over that 4-hour waiting period would yield way more than the World Boss ever could.

Lots of people know that, just not the OP lol
