Hey guys I have a great idea. Why don’t we make everything cost iron instead of just almost? Want to spend a skill point? That’ll be 10 iron. Paragon node? 20 rawhide. Want to respec? 10 iron per node refunded. Opening a dungeon? 20 chunks please.
I mean come on this is ridiculous right? It’s be got to say that I be loved the game since season four. I’ve put more hours into this game in the past year than any other combined. But there’s literally no way under the current system to optimize and that’s like supposed to be the goal right? I spent the better part of 15 hours on my day off yesterday doing everything I could to collect iron and hide and obducite including boss runs, nmd, undercity, merc trader, helltide, whispers, hordes and scrapped everything I picked up. Only came up with around 7k hide and iron and about 20k obducite and that wasn’t enough to reroll a single item perfectly and I was only able to get two to 2/3 mw.
The problem isn’t just the amount of common materials that it costs it’s that literally everything you do in the endgame costs iron or rawhide. Why do I have tens of thousands of a legendary material that I never use but can’t keep iron to save my life? Why doesn’t mw 1-4 cost iron/hide then 5-8 veiled crystals or angel breath then 9-12 forgotten souls or coiled wards? It costs a couple thousand iron to take one piece of gear to 12 one single time. Is this supposed to keep us from being good? That’s a crazy way to get people to want to play. Oh I’m in the endgame now let me run around and find all the ore veins for 36 hours straight so I can make my build 2% better.
Please fix this. It’s outrageous.
