Is it worth it to craft a shako? I have enough resplendent sparks and enough gold to do it, but I haven’t heard if the crafted Shako is inferior to the one you find.
PS Not sure how I got the Resplendent Sparks. I know I didn’t trash any uber uniques.
Its the excact same as one that drops. You might even craft one that has a GA.
Much easier to get them this time around if you play Seasonal. You’ll get 1 from the Wolf faction on any character you complete it with. This is repeatable by making another character.
You get one by defeating Uber Lilith one time. This is account bound, only happens once per season.
Your final one you get from defeating 1 Tormented Boss of your choosing one time per account per season.
So all together you’ll get 3, and 1 extra per character that maxes out wolf faction.
Shako is definitely worth crafting I would say. As slothic mentioned it’s the exact same as a dropped one, and it has the same amount of chance to have a GA attached to it. If you’re lucky enough of course.

if it wasn’t for being able to make a shako, i would have quit a month ago.
being able to craft uber uniques is one of the best changes blizz has ever done imo.
For me it is the difference between kill uber lilith and not.
I would like to see the Iron Wolf progress and rewards system implemented as a normal feature moving forward. I got sick of duriel runs and just crafted my Andariels. Saved the season for me as it unlocked the build I have been looking to play since the season started.

Sparks get carried over right?
If nothing else, craft ubers (use old sparks on eternal) for the transmogs alone. Even if an Uber isn’t super useful, sometimes the transmog is dope.
Big yes, 99% of the builds benefit from it big time. Only exception is like tempest roar enabled builds.
Sparks move to the Eternal Realm when the season ends. They don’t carry over to the next season.
Please don’t hate me. Follow up to my original post. I crafted a shako. Then I went and killed Andriel and she dropped me another one. What are the chances? Wish it was a Grandfather but I’m not complaining.
It happened to me as well! I got a Shako right after I crafted a Shako. At least the crafted one has one GA.
If you don’t have one already take the S4 opportunity, it is likely the next season will be harder to get the sparks.

I have one that I crafted and one that I found. They are both the same.
Crafted or found, all equal.
So if you craft one and it has no GA it’s trash and needs to be salvaged?
Let me put it like this: You are at a frat party and someone brings in a large pizza. You all attack it trying to get a slice and you end up with a smaller slice. Sure, you’d wish you gotten a bigger slice, but still, its better than nothing. Same as a shako without a GA. It’s better than nothing.
Being able to grind alt after deletable alt to buy the best gear in the game off a f*^#ing vendor is “one of the best changes blizz has ever done”?
