This feature is extremely silly. The energy should automatically pull to your character. Having to run around to pick them up isn’t fun…at all…
One stupide thing about this. There is a unique amulet that can do an electric nova.
But most of the time you generate AOE when you pick up orbs after the battle.
Broken by design.
also doesn’t help that crates and stuff utilize crackling energy. >.<
If you’re taking crackling energy seriously, you’re either using the Overflowing energy key passive, or the Vyr Mastery key passive.
Overflowing energy has massive cooldown reductions and more teleports than they know what to do with. They’re suppose to use these teleports to get in, grab some orbs, and get out.
Vyr’s Mastery gives you the ability to stay in the fight longer. If you’re playing according to the design, you should be on top of mobs, and on top of the orbs as they spawn.
There is no reason to they should be auto pulled in except to appease lazy players.
How does one focus orbs when on a controller and teleporting? It’s not like a mouse where you point and go poof. This game was designed on all systems but isn’t equal for all systems.
I can see the problem with playing Overflowing Energy on console. That sucks.
However, there would need to be a better way to solve the problem. If orbs were auto pulled in, PC would still have an advantage over console because they’d still be more efficient by teleporting to the edges of the auto pull it zones.
It sounds like they need to solve the issue with being able to choose distance with spells. Like being able to set it so holding down the button longer increases the distance of the teleport.
ive found this amulet twice. if they buffed the damage or if they buffed the proc rate it would be cool
Or just changed it so that the unique affect makes crackling energy into a pulsing nova.
Crackling energy doesn’t really do a lot of damage, it seems, so making the unique turn it into an AOE wouldn’t be all that overwhelming.
It feels a little janky to collect the crackling energy. I relied on teleport and even then the flow of the game feels a bit stiff.
Picking up the legendary node so crackling energy doesn’t get depleted as quickly helped a little bit, but idk.
Mobs sometimes block you so collecting the crackling energy by running feels stiff also.
Let’s see how they improve the mechanic.
