Before I start my farm, I wanted to make sure I had a correct understanding of how farming the cows work. My understanding is once I kill cow number one a timer of 7.7 days starts and within that I have to kill 666 cows for the guaranteed drop. Then if I wait until the 7.7 days is up, I can farm a different region for the second item because the timer has reset and then rinse and repeat for the third so this can be done on one character. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I may be larping a little but i don’t think you have to wait at all.
Kill the 666 cows and the items will start dropping. You keep going until you have all.
You don’t have wait but it then does not become a guaranteed drop. I am seeing reports of people killing over 1000 cows before getting additional drops and I would rather not do that.

Thats the fast track way to access cow lvl
If you want moo emote you need to complete that long 666 cow quest

I want to get on the island to be able to fish up the mythic fish there. I don’t think you can do that unless you do the whole unlocking chain.
As far as I know others can moo you and take you to the island without doing the quest but you do not get the /moo emo. But for fishing it sounds fine.

Had a clan member invite myself and another. We teleported to them without ever having to learn the moo emote or having it done to us. We entered the cow level, killed the king, got the crown, went outside and did the fishing thing.

I want to spread the love by mooing everyone but its gatekeep behind long cow quest
The quest is super extreme awful. Instead of a cool mini story its a tedious grind killing cows for hours, for days. and there is not even a counter to help keep track. its just awful.

Sure you can. After being moo’d once you’re done killing in the cow level you just use leave dungeon, that will exit you to the island. Then just fish where the unicorn bones are.
You can join and teleport to the fish island. I invited several friends for some mythic fishing. You can get the crown also. The Moo emoticon is really the only reason to go through the slog.
I did not wait. I ran for all 3 cow sections in about 4 days with the same character, wasn’t all that awful.

Additionally, you only unlock the stamina potion cave for THAT character. I thought it would be account unlock, but only the sorc I originally used can enter the hovel for the Stamina pot. I would not have went through the grind knowing that considering the state of the Eternal realm.
How many hours pr day killing cows ? Just curious how long it takes.
I did it in 4 days, 3 hour sessions each day. So roughly 12 hours of grinding following the maps. Max move speed and Lightning sorc AOE. WW would have been faster probably.

So you can do the 666 and farm the others immediately.
I got the second two within a fraction of the time.
After that it’s fairly straight forward following a guide. Although the mother’s rose quest was bugged for me but eventually got past it.
I think I had maybe 3-4 hours into cow farming. Not really certain. A few hours messing with the bugged quest and a few hours on everything else.
And of course, I did it Wednesday, then was out of town the next Tuesday, then being done for the season completely forgot about killing the King on Tuesday. Thankfully the PTR started Tuesday and I remember I never did it…
I just came to this thread to ask that exact question. If there is no counter, how do you know where you are in the whole killing cows thing?

Also you can buy those items on diablotrade for gold. I bought the potion & bardiche there for 2B gold. I just did the Neyrelle’s Hand part. You can probably buy all 3 items.
Wait, really? They are tradable? I think you can just walk in and get them again once you did the steps.
