No1 is asking for the community to " save " the game. I think hes saying the devs have access to some HIGHLY motivated and knowledgable people, why not get their input and expertise as additional data to be considered.

I argued that if devs don’t play the game they won’t be able to tell what difference a change casuses if you play it.

Clever people who understand concepts and play the game can easily tell that.

This is why apart from complaint threads, you will never find a dev “FIX” an actual problem. Just bandaids on complaints. They only care about fixing complaints, so the bandaids will cause more problems.

All these can be foreseen by the Council “to make little Ryaneko happy”.

We need a council of nuanced feedback because the balance updates are missing the point. Actually not even facing the right way.

The balance changes in D4 certainly haven’t been amazing, but still better than anything Blizzard have done for Diablo in decades.

Some kind of council of players, who cant agree on literally anything, would likely only make it much worse.

At least with stuff like the crit and vuln changes, things are moving in the right direction. Even if it might not be perfect solutions.

Because devs should have strong enough a vision for a game and skill to implement it themselves otherwise they shouldn’t be the developers of the game.
