Couch coop have different queue timers?

Last weekend during early beta I experienced this but now during the open beta it just got compounded for worse.

I’m on PS5, when I login I get to wait for one queue. But then when I’m in the game, and my player 2 tried to local couch coop join, we see the “press options to join” we press it on controller, and then nothing happens until a secret second queue timers is up. Problem is, it’s just as long as the first one.

What’s the point of that ? Why is local couch coop not able to join at the same time ?

This is a severe limitation, and to make matters worse, when were not able to transition zones due to the server issues, we log out to log back in (which fixes the transitioning) but then the second player has to wait in a queue again to join.

It’s insane…

In exactly the same boat, player 1 queued for 40 minutes, I pushed options and only managed to get in an hour later. Managed to play for 30 minutes together, then p1 got disconnected with an error and couldn’t rejoin (pushing option generated an error after a couple of minutes). Only option was to try and reload the game, now the queue time is over 100 minutes…

Seriously considering refunding and not coming back. What’s the point?

Well I can’t imagine it’ll be like this for release. It’s just surprising that the server quality is that a bad considering Blizzard has track records with MMOrpgs.

If it is… I’ll be speechless…

Yes p2 has a q. Also both characters have to start from the prologue if one character has not completed it. I found this the hard way and had to start the q over for p2.

Has anyone noticed that p1 can’t enter dungeons whilst p2 is trying to join the game?

Or leave town, or use vendors or anything.
